"And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work".

2 Corinthians 9: 8
God was, is, and will be. He does not get tired, nor does He run out of resources to bless us with. We must remember that His blessings aren’t always abundant monetary items or riches; His blessings are what we truly need. Sometimes we need a moment of silence, a friend to sit with us, or a child to laugh or ask us a question.
Sometimes our blessings look like nothing at all—like God has let us go on our own and isn’t saying a word, even though that’s what we want more than anything else. He knows what we need, and sometimes He allows us to wander off His path and search through empty caves on our own, just so we can see for ourselves whether anything there is truly worth our time.
What Mary and Joseph went through—from searching for a place to stay and give birth, all the way to walking up Calvary with their Son—was for the good of humanity. It couldn’t have seemed that way to most people watching, but to that faithful family, they knew God is good and that His blessings are abundant—far more than we can ever realize.
Never forget that God loves you. There is nothing you have done to take that love away, and nothing you can do to earn more of it.
Romans 8:38-39
38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Thank You God for this day You have made. Thank You for the gifts You are constantly giving us. We know how to give our family and our friends good gifts this Christmas, but Your gifts are so much better even when it is silence. Give us what we need for this day. Come to be with us Immanuel. Fill us with Your Spirit so that we may strengthen those around us and be strengthen ourselves. We love You and thank You for first loving us.
Through Jesus we pray. Amen.
