10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
James 4: 10
Today we are called to humble ourselves. A new week. A new day. The life you have planned, the goals and dreams for yourself, and the list of things you must get done this week all fall in line behind humility. The most important thing we can do right now is submit ourselves to the glory of God.
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).
God Himself came down to give us life—a life more abundant, more fulfilling, and filled with more joy than the world can ever offer.

Father, You have called us this day. You are the protector and giver of peace. You have given us the greatest example of humility we could have imagined in Your Son. Jesus You have done it. Brought us back to our Father forever. Grant us the grace today to walk humbly. To serve one another. And to give others the hope You have given us. God, we put ourselves behind You today. You be our leader. Give us the gift of the Holy Spirit to lead those around us. Forgive us for our pride and selfishness. We come to you quietly this morning to listen to You. You know our desires and our hearts. Help us to be patient and to also know that today is the day that You have made.
In Your Son Jesus's name we pray. Amen.
