5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3: 5-6
There is a star in the sky leading the way to the new King of the world. We all notice it wherever we are. Sometimes it shines brightly and leads our way, capturing our full attention. Other times, our eyes become so focused on this world that we can only see the star’s light reflected off the things around us. We know where it is leading—but is that always where we desire to go? The star will forever be there to guide our way if we choose to follow it and ask God for His grace to keep moving in that direction.
The journey we take in our lives to get to Christ is unique for each of us. Everyone has their own path, with different steps to take, different things to stumble on, and different people who will need our help along the way. Can you see the direction to go—know what is in front of you—and still take the time to look around for anyone who needs your help today? Don’t let this day of travel be one in which you take only a few steps by yourself. Pick up your pace, help someone else do the same, and we will all get to see this great miracle one day sooner.
Thank you, God, for leading our way to you. Giving us HOPE in what we can't fully see or understand. We know Your way is good. Help us when we stumble. Open our eyes to the path we are on and those who need help around us. Be with those who can't see right now. Give us the patience to grab their hand and help them this day. Thank you for doing the same for us each day.
In Your name we pray. Amen.
