〇おはら祭 Ohara Festival
｢おはら節｣や｢鹿児島ハンヤ節｣踊り手が天文館電車通りを踊り歩く南九州最大の祭りです。伝統芸能を見ることができます。
場所：天文館
期間：11/2,11/3
Dancers go around Tenmonkan. You can watch traditional performances here.

〇照国神社六月燈 Terukuni Shrine Rokugatsuto
鹿児島県の夏の風物詩です。たくさんのきれいな燈籠を見ながら食べ歩きをすることができます。浴衣をレンタルしてお祭りに参加するとより楽しめるでしょう。
場所：天文館の照国神社
期間：7月中旬
People can enjoy a lot of beautiful lanterns. You can enjoy eating various foods and watching fireworks. Some people wear yukata and jinbei.

〇サマーナイト大花火大会 Summer night Fireworks Exhibition
南九州最大の花火大会です。桜島と錦江湾を背景に、約15,000発の花火が打ちあがります。こだわられた演出が見どころです。
場所：本港新町 鹿児島湾
期間：8月下旬
This is the largest fireworks dispay in Southern Kyushu. Approximately 15,000 fireworks are shot off against the backdrop of Sakurajima and Kinko Bay. The highlight of the festival is the elaborate display of fireworks.
Place : Honko- shinmachi, Kagoshima Bay

〇吹上浜砂の祭典 Fukiagehama Festival
大小さまざまな砂像を見学しながら、市内のグルメや特産品･体験コーナーなどを楽しむことができます。また、期間中は毎日花火を打ち上げます。
場所：南さつま市加世田
期間：5/3-5/5
You can enjoy local food while admiring various sand sculptures. Fireworks are also held there.
