The reporters Jennifer Valentino-Devries and Julia Angwin seem to be good sources on this subject, which in my opinion, should be approached cautiously and respectfully. It is easy to paint the whole thing in "1984 by Orwell" colors. Maybe it should be looked at that way. I am not sure and I am not a highly technical person. I do find that many of the recommendations that Amazon.com makes to me either wind up as my purchases or on a list I might purchase sometime.
