Finishing my Simultaneous Interpretation portfolio from Spanish to English and Spanish to English, has been quite the adventure, covering a wide array of topics such as science, law, TED Talks, and even children's stories. Each translation has been a learning opportunity for me.
I have had fun experimenting with interpretation at different speeds, and I have discovered that my favorite is the slow-speed version.
I didn't limit myself to translating text; I also delved into the world of video translation. Whether it was a serious TED Talk or a playful children's story, each video presented its own unique challenges. Additionally, I became adept at using tools like ScreenPal to record myself on screen, streamlining the translation process.
Mastering the art of pausing at the appropriate moments during on-screen translations was a significant breakthrough. This not only enhanced the clarity of the translations but also kept the audience engaged. Reflecting on this journey, it's clear that it was more than just about words; it was about capturing the essence of various subjects and conveying them effectively in either English or Spanish.
As I conclude this project, I'm leaving with a wealth of new skills and experiences, eager to apply them in the dynamic field of language and communication.
