As a student, I have come to appreciate the critical role that note-taking plays in the field of interpreting. The use of different typefaces, along with techniques such as verticality and symbols, has proven to be a valuable asset in achieving accurate and efficient translations. 

Cultivating solid note-taking habits is essential. Notes should not be a source of distraction, but a means to improve performance. They have proven to be an effective strategy for reducing stress, increasing confidence, and improving both accuracy and comprehension in the interpreting process. In this area, every second counts, which makes these techniques even more valuable.

My experience with note-taking began in high school, when I took shorthand classes. This form of rapid writing using abbreviations and conventional signs allowed me to transcribe speech almost as fast as it was spoken. Although several years have passed since then, I am convinced that picking up this skill will be very beneficial to my abilities as an interpreter. Although I am just getting started on the note-taking path, I am excited about the potential this tool offers and look forward to further refining it.

Como estudiante, he descubierto la importancia fundamental de la toma de notas en el mundo de la interpretación. La utilización de diferentes tipos de letras, así como la aplicación de técnicas como la verticalidad y el uso de símbolos, ha resultado ser una herramienta valiosa para lograr traducciones precisas y efectivas.

Cultivar hábitos de toma de notas sólidos es esencial. Las notas no deben ser una fuente de distracción, sino un medio para mejorar el rendimiento. Han demostrado ser una estrategia efectiva para reducir el estrés, aumentar la confianza y elevar tanto la precisión como la comprensión en el proceso de interpretación. En este ámbito, cada segundo cuenta, lo que hace que estas técnicas sean aún más valiosas.

Mi experiencia en la toma de notas comenzó durante la secundaria, cuando tomé una clase de taquigrafía. Esta forma de escritura rápida mediante abreviaturas y signos convencionales me permitió transcribir el habla casi tan rápido como se pronunciaba. Aunque han pasado varios años desde entonces, estoy convencido de que retomar esta habilidad será de gran beneficio para mis capacidades como intérprete. Aunque apenas estoy iniciando en el camino de la toma de notas, estoy emocionado por el potencial que esta herramienta ofrece y estoy ansioso por seguir perfeccionándola.
