What does the washing of the robes mean? I think it means the purification of uncleanliness or sin. And the reward for that is the key to this great city. This verse pronounces a blessing on those who are cleansed from their sin. This is the 7th blessing, the other 6 that are in Revelation are in 1:3; 14:13; 16:15; 19:9; 20:6; and 22:7. And if you're in the city that means you also have the, "right to the tree of life." which is pretty cool. It's like a gift basket but infinity times better. If you want to be in this beautiful city, I know I want to, then just believe in Jesus and trust in Him. Especially through hardships because that's when you're faith becomes weaker and you're more vulnerable to Satan's attacks. So let us be strong in our faith.
Verse 8 says that John fell down and worshiped at the feet of the angel, but the angel said that he is a fellow servant and to worship God! It reminds me of the 1st commandment which says, "You shall have no other God's before me." Who do you worship? You may not know what you worship because you may not notice it at first but the more you do it it becomes like a regular routine. There is a hole in our heart but only Jesus can fill it. So let us have faith in Jesus and have him full our empty hole in our heart. Don't be discouraged.
This verse clarifies that there will be a new heaven and earth and the new Jerusalem, and this angel said that this is happening very soon. How cool and rad and awesome would it be to see this great city and also the new heaven and earth. I am excited every time I read this verse. So let us be prepared not only for the end times but also let us be prepared for the new heaven and earth and meeting God for the first time!
This verse just clarifies that there will be no one that is impure in the new Jerusalem and also the new heaven and earth. It also says in verse 22 that there was no temple or church, because God almighty and the Lamb are it's temple. And verse 23 says that this city does not need a sun or moon, because God gives it light and the Lamb is its lamp. So let us know that we can be in this beautiful city if we are in the Lamb's book of life. So are you in the book of life?
This city will be so amazing to see. I am already imagining a huge cube entering the new earth's atmosphere from heaven. It says there will be 12 foundations, all a different gem. The first was jasper, 2nd sapphire, 3rd agate, 4th emerald, 5th onyx, 6th ruby, 7th chrysolite, 8th beryl, 9th topaz, 10th turquoise, 11th jacinth, and finally the 12th amethyst. But all I was thinking about is how pure does gold have to be to get as pure as glass? I have no idea. So let us be like this gold and try being as pure as glass.
This is what will happen after all the judgments. It will be truly beautiful to see this. A part of verse 5 says that God is making everything new. Then verse 7 says, "Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children." I don't know you about you but i want to be one of those victorious, and all it takes is to truly believe in God. So let us get closer with him and once you are saved truly then you can see this beautiful new heaven and earth.
This will be the last judgement in Revelation. But this verse is pretty self explanatory. It says that Anyone's names not found in the book of life will be thrown in the lake of fire or in verse 14 it says, "second death". But what is the second death? My study bible says, "Eternal separation from God, the destiny of the wicked. Those sentenced to the lake of fire forever experience this second death." So let us not not be like the wicked and let us always remind ourselves of God and trust in him.
This will be the last-last war. But really not even a war because in verse 9 it says that, "fire came down from heaven, and devoured them." And after this "war" Satan will be thrown into the lake of burning sulfur. So even though we know that Satan will lose in the end, let us be aware that when we are not paying attention he can deceive us. Let us not enter Satan's candy store.
Verses 1-3 are talking about Satan's judgment. It says in verse 1 that an angel came down from heaven with the key to the Abyss. Verse 2 says that Satan will be bound for a thousand years. Then verse 3 says that after the thousand years he will be released, and if you read a little ahead, he will deceive Gog and Magog or the nations in the four corners of the earth. This sounds like it came out of a movie but this will all happen. So let us trust in God and not be afraid of the dragon, this ancient serpent, or Satan, because we know what will happen to him in the end. So let us not be afraid and trust in the word.
Is this war the final battle at Armageddon? It says in 16:16, "Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon." I think they were preparing for this final war in Armageddon. But they will lose in the end because I mean it's the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. If I was one of those kings I would automatically retreat and just give up. Then it says in verses 20-21 that the beast and the false prophet was captured and thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. And the rest of the people on earth were killed by the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse. So let us know that we Christians will win the war with God but we just have to believe and trust in Him during these wars and end times.
Babylon must've played a big part in the end times because not only are there 2 chapters dedicated to the rise and fall of Babylon, but it also says that God remembered her. But in these verses it is talking about the Lamb's wedding with the church of Jesus. This wedding will be truly spectacular to watch and all the angels in heaven or basically everyone in heaven are saying hallelujah or praise the Lord. So let us be in tune with God during the end times and spread God's word to these non christians so they too can see this beautiful wedding and heaven.
This is just what happens after the burning and mourning of Babylon, but what's interesting is that Babylon will literally just disappear, like it never existed. Kind of sounds like it came out of a movie. It also says in verse 24, "In her was found the blood of prophets and of God's Holy people, of all who had been slaughtered on the earth." If this is true then all the persecution of Christians will be found here. Anyways let us know that there will be hardships in these end times, but we must trust in God through it all. Let us have a sensitive heart and trust in God.
This sounds like the aftermath of a get rich quick scheme. I can already imagine the ad for this scheme. It would be like, give us $20 and we'll give you $500 in return! Although obvious that it's a scam some people still fall for it. Instead they give them their credit card information and they lose $500 instead of gaining it. And in the end they are mourning the loss of their money. In this story or vision from the future, these people are gaining riches, but in 1 hour it will all be gone. If this vision is true then this Babylon can represent maybe one of the bigger country's like USA. So let us not be vulnerable to these riches and know that God is the ultimate treasure. If you lose everything, just trust in God.
This is God's judgment for Babylon. In one day death, mourning and famine will come upon Babylon, and the angels are warning them to flee before she is consumed by fire. We can either take this either literal or non literal. I think we should take this verse very literal and be prepared to flee maybe even this country or maybe even Arizona. I'm not saying we should completely separate ourselves from the world but have God's wisdom and be involved in the world without becoming like those who don't know God. So let us seek God's wisdom and be prepared for God's judgment on this world.
These plagues is the last of God's judgments, but this is what happens before. It says in verse 2 that there was a sea of glass glowing with fire, what is this sea of glass? According to the study bible to says, "It could refer to the still water of the heavenly temples basin. The basin in Jerusalem's temple was referred to as the sea." It also says in verse 2 that, "who had been victorious over the beast and it's image." Who conquers the beast? I think it will be Jesus when he returns to the earth. So with all this knowledge in mind let us be prepared and spread God's word.
What is this first harvest of the earth? According to my study bible it says, " Some believe the harvest is used to depict the gathering of God's people; others believe it symbolizes God's judgement." I think this harvest symbolizes God's judgement because it says in verse 19 that, "The angel swung his sickle on the earth, gathered grapes and threw them into the great winepress of God's wrath." Then it says they were trampled in the winepress. I think the grapes in verse 19 mean the wicked and it said blood flowed out of the press, rising as high as the horses bridles. It just says how much wicked people are in this world. So let us spread God's word now so t hey can have a second chance.
It says in verse 9 if anyone worships the beast and receives the mark they will drink the cup of God's fury and be tormented by burning sulfur. Then in verse 11 it says that, "there will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image." Then it says in verse 12, "This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus." So let us not worships this beast and let us remain faithful to God during these end times and trust in Him.
This verse is obviously talking about the 144,000 we have heard of it in chapter 7. But instead of the seal they have the Lamb's name and the Father's name written on their forehead. Then it continues to talk about how they sung a new song but no one else could learn it except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. Those who didn't defile themselves with women, those who followed the Lamb wherever he goes, and those who don't lie. These 144,000 sound very important especially during the end times. Let us try to be like these men and try to spread God's word.
It says that this second beast gave breath to the image of the first beast. What does that mean? According to the study bible it says, "the first beast oppressed Christians with violence; the second beast deceived people though religion. Poetically saying that the second beast gives breath to the first probably means that false religion can use political power to enforce devotion." It also says in verse 16 that these people will receive a mark on their right hand or forehand. This mark is different than the one we read in chapter 7 where the mark represented protection fro believers. This mark in 16 represents the mark of the beast where you can't buy or sell without this mark. Now this beast represents (as my study bible says),"a seductive religious power of the emperors cult. At that time, Roman law required all people to worship the emperor as a God. These beasts could refer to as emperors." So let us not wait until last minute to believe. These seals and trumpets and beasts sound pretty scary to me. Heaven sounds very beautiful and I would love to see it. Let's trust in God during these times.
Who or what is this beast that came out of the sea? According to the study bible it says, "The beast that comes out of the sea is and ally or agent of Satan. Some scholars say he represents the antichrist of the end times who wars against God's people. Others say the beast represents the oppressive Roman government, which had become increasingly hostile toward Christians. That's probably how John's original readers viewed the metaphor of the beast. Today the beast could symbolize any world power that aggressively opposes God's people." The beast could honestly represent like North Korea or China or any communist nation in this modern world. But in verse 8 it says, "All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast - all whose names have not been written in the Lamb's book of life." It seems like God's people won't be on earth except the 144,000 and the 2 witnesses. So with all this knowledge let us believe in God before all the chaos comes into the world. It could be happening right as we speak. So let us be cautious and trust in the Lord through all the hardship that is soon to come.
I think this verse is talking about how Satan lost his place in heaven originally. Then in verse 9 it says, "the dragon" or Satan was hurled to the earth with his angels. I can already imagine the movie 300 where he kicks a guy into a pit or something. Then in verse 12 they are rejoicing in heaven but saying woe to the earth. I think we need to remind our selves of God's ultimate power. It's clear that Satan had no chance against Michael and his angels. So let us remember God's power and not be on the losing side but the winning side instead. So let us acknowledge Satan's power but also remember that God's power is all powerful.
It seems that these survivors at this horrible earthquake acknowledged God’s power. But it does not say they repented. It says they gave glory to God, but it may mean that only in their extreme terror they acknowledged God but still did not repent. My study bible says, “This is the first time in Revelation that evil people are said to acknowledge God.” If we go back to 9:20-21 it says, “20 The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk. 21 Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts.” It says that they still did not repent after these plagues and continued to worship their false idols. But back in this verse they still didn’t repent but only acknowledged God’s power. Let us not be like these people at all and let us not only acknowledge God’s ultimate power but also repent and believe He is our one true God.
This is the last of the trumpets and it is going to be a scary time for the non-believers. It says there will be flashes of lightning, rumblings, thunder, another earthquake and a severe earthquake. But it also says something about an ark of his covenant. The study bible says, “This wooden chest – which held the tablets of the 10 commandments, Aaron’s rod, and a jar of manna was a symbol of God’s presence among His people in the Old testament. In the new faithfulness in keeping the covenant with the people.” I think to have the ark appear in a vision of God’s heavenly temple the complete establishment of God’s kingdom. So, with all this knowledge, let us remember that we can be in God’s ultimate kingdom and not in this old earth that this verse has described.
Why eat a scroll? The angel said to John to eat the scroll, and it will taste like honey in your mouth but will turn your stomach sour. My study bible says, “Eating a scroll symbolizes accepting the scroll’s message. This message is sweet because it announces salvation and bitter because it proclaims harsh judgement. We must also figuratively eat this scroll and understand that we can be in heaven with God, but we will have to endure through these end-times and hardships. Let us eat God’s scroll and understand that we will go through hard times, but we must push through them because the outcome will be magnificent.
This sounds it came straight out of a horror movie. 4 angels kept ready waiting to kill a 3rd of mankind. It says that these horses and riders have breastplates that were fiery red, dark blue, and yellow as sulfur, the heads of the horses resembled lions, out of their mouths was fire, smoke and sulfur, and the power of the power of the horses was in their mouths and tails. And last was their tails which had a head like a snake in which they inflict injury. It seems like these things are going to get worse for the earth. But if we do not want to be in this situation, we must believe in God so we can be with God even before these trumpets will happen. Let us not be like these people who didn’t repent in verse 20-21 and let us listen to this final warning that these trumpets represent and be with God in heaven.
I don’t know about you but these locusts sound pretty scary, It says they looked like a horse prepared for battle, on their heads they wore a crown of God, faces like human faces, hair like women’s hair, teeth like lion’s teeth, breastplate like a breastplate of iron, tails like scorpions stingers and able to torment people for 5 months. I myself would not want to be stung by this locust, but in verse 4 it reassures us that these locusts will not attack ones with the Son of God on their forehead. In chapter 7 verse 2-3 it says, “2 Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: 3 “Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.” And my study bible also says, “In Ezekial 9:4, a mark is placed on the foreheads of the faithful to protect them from judgement.” Us Christians are marked and promised protection from God’s wrath but not necessarily from physical attacks. So, let us have this mark of God by believing in Him and trusting Him throughout it. Let us be even more in tune with God in these times.
These trumpets honestly sound worse than the seals. It says that there will be hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled on the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the tress were burned up and all the green grass was burned up. Verse 7. That is just one of the trumpets and I do not know about you, but I am feeling scared for it. These trumpets represent a great warning on all the earth, like a nation emergency. So, let us listen to these warnings and trust in God during them. Not only are the 7 seals coming to the earth but also the 7 trumpets which somehow sound scarier. Let us be prepared during these times because we will feel weaker in our faith but we have to push through our hardships.
This is the last of the seals, but we must not be afraid. There will be military invasions, wars, famines, deaths, the martyrdom of Christians and an earthquake, but we must trust in God throughout. There will be major hardships, but we must not stray away from God during these end-times. Let us be prepared and stay even more in tune with God no matter the hardship we come across.
Who are these people in this great multitude? It says in verse 14 that, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation.” And, my study bible says, “This vision answers the question posed by John 6:17, “For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it? The answers: The faithful who have been saved by the blood of the lamb will withstand the great day of God’s wrath.” It says in verse 14 that these people have come out of the great tribulation, but what is the great tribulation? My study bible says, “Some scholars think this may refer to the general suffering endured by Christians throughout history and already happening when John wrote this. Other theologians believe it will be the final period of hostility at the end of time.” I think this means there will be a lot of hardship during this time but us Christians know that we are going to meet the Lord in heaven after this rapture and hardships. So let us be prepared for these hardships and trust in God.
What is the seal of the living God? In Ezekial 9:4 it says, “and said to him, “Go throughout the city of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of those who grieve and lament over all the detestable things that are done in it.” My study bible says, “a mark is placed on the foreheads of the faithful to protect them from judgement. Similarly, these servants of our God are marked and promised protection from God’s wrath, but they are not necessarily protected from all physical danger.” But it also saying in verse 4, “Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel.” Are the Jews the only ones God will spare? My study bible says, “In revelation, vocabulary originally applied to the Jews is often applied to all believers. For example, Christians are called a kingdom and priests, a phrase previously applied to Jews. Most scholars believe the 144,000 people from Israel symbolize all believers.” So with all of this knowledge let us know that God puts a special mark on us Christian’s foreheads so that we will not be harmed by God’s wrath but also note that we need to be prepared for these physical attacks as well. Let us remember revelation 1:6 "and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father--to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen."
Are these events to be taken seriously or figuratively? I personally thin we should be taking these verses very seriously it says there will be military invasions, wars, famine, deaths, the martyrdom of Christians and earthquakes. It seems that these horrors will increase greatly as the end nears. My study bible says, “Scholars disagree. Some think this could literally happen by noting that other poetic descriptions in this chapter describes calamities such as war and famine. Other scholars say this figuratively symbolizes God’s final judgement by using images familiar in the old testament prophecies.” As I said in the beginning, I think these events will happen and we need to be prepared for them and stay even more in tune with God. So with that let us trust in Him because it clearly states here that these events will happen so let us be prepared now and not wait till last minute.
Why would God let his followers die for their faith? My study bible says, “God allows certain things to occur, including the deaths of his servants, because they can further His Ultimate purposes. One early Christian wrote, “The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church,” meaning that the faith and courage of martyrs can turn others’ hearts to God.” I think this means that in these end times a lot of us Christians will be martyred or killed for our beliefs, but we must stand strong and have faith and courage because it says that we will be killed for our faith but our faith and courage will hopefully turn some non-christians hearts to God. So we might have a weaker faith when these seals come into the earth but, let us have faith and courage in God during the end times and trust in God.
This verse says that this gorse and rider will bring famine on this world, but why announce the price of good? My study bible says, “To show how terrible the famine described here would be. Wheat and barley, staples in the ancient world, would sell at expensive prices. People would spend an entire day’s wage for just enough food to keep them alive.” This may be hard to believe for non-christians or even Christians, but this is going to happen, and we need to be ready for when it does happen. As we discussed yesterday, we Christians will be persecuted and hated upon but we must endure through the pain and suffering and just trust in God throughout these end times. The end times is already happening so let us trust in God throughout it and believe in Him so we will know that we are already going to heaven.
Jesus is coming very soon; we all know that but when will these terrifying events happen? My study bible says, “They will happen both prior and on the great day of their wrath (v.17) (Their wrath refers to the wrath of God and Jesus.) while scary, this passage gives us peace of mind because we know everything happens only by divine permission. The riders were given their powers by God Himself.” Like it says here we should really try to be calm during the end times and really just trust God in that situation. My study bible also says, “Who are the conqueror and the other three horsemen? The conqueror probably is a poetic picture of powerful destructive military force. The three riders he is grouped with is violence, famine and death these are brutal in their impact. With all this knowledge let us be very calm during these end times and keep a peace of mind because we know that only God will make this happen.
I thought about this song called Is He Worthy? And it’s pretty obvious that He is. John must’ve been overwhelmed by this beautiful sight. I mean 10,000 times 10,000 angels and the 24 elders and the 4 living creatures all saying in a loud voice, “Worthy is the lamb, who was slain, the receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” What an awesome God we have. He can heal the sick with one touch, He can resurrect dead people, He can do all sorts of things or everything. And all we have to do to meet Him in heaven and continue your walk with Him is to believe he died on the cross, believe He loves you, believe He is the son of God, after that you’ll be in the book of life and headed to heaven even though none of us deserve it. Let us believe in Him so we can finally be with Him in heaven.
Now what is this scroll? My study bible says, “It’s more likely to contain the record of God’s future judgements.” In verse 3 it says, “But no one in heaven or earth or under earth could open the scroll or even look inside. Then in verse 5 it says, “Do not weep! See, the lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and it’s seven seals.” Who is this Lion of the tribe of Judah and root of David? Well I’m pretty sure this is Jesus they are talking about! But in verse 6 it says, “Then I saw a lamb. The lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the Earth.” How can the lion also be a lamb? I think it’s because these are figurative references to Jesus. My study bible says that, “These verses (5-6) combine three images from the old testament and new testaments to picture Jesus’ ultimate triumph.” Let us believe Jesus the Lamb of God, the lion of the tribe of Judah, and the root of David.
How amazing would it be like to see the throne of God. I myself would love to see it. It says in verses 2-6, that,” before me was a throne is heaven with someone sitting on it,” verse 3, “the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A rainbow shone like an emerald engraved the throne,” verse 4, “twenty-four other thrones, and had crowns of God on their heads,” verse 5, “From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder,” and verse 6, “Also in front of the throne there was what look like a sea of glass, clear as crystal. This throne would be a beautiful sight to see, and all you have to do is believe that Jesus died on the cross for you. In Ephesians 2:8-9 it says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the Gift of God, verse 9, “not by works, so that no one can boast.” It’s basically saying you have been saved not by your works but from that Gift of God. We should always go back to this verse when we feel weak in our faith, and maybe even give it to these non-christians or new Christians. Let us remember that we can be saved not by works but from the Gift of God so that we can also see this beautiful sight John was talking about.
What is the Amen? In this verse it says, “these are the words of the Amen.” My study bible says, “The Hebrew word Amen is translated true in Isaiah 65:16 (the one true God). The use for this word indicates God is trustworthy and faithful. Here the word is used for Jesus, showing that His character is faithful and true.” I also had this question in my mind, why do we say amen when we pray? In 2 Cor 1:20 it says, “For no matter how many promises God has made they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. Amen also has a different meaning, my study bible says this, “Amen is a Hebrew word carried over to English; it means “so be it”. It is used to confirm or endorse to agree with what has just been said. It also expresses humility before God as we submit to his wisdom and will.” So, let us remember that whenever we say Amen in prayers or anything usually in prayers, we are talking to the one true God, the faithful and true witness and that we are agreeing to His word. Amen.
I think this means that God is coming back to judge us obviously, but it also says in the beginning of this verse, “Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial.” This is saying that if you believe in Jesus and trust in Him and know that He died on the cross for you then you’ll already be in the book of life. So, you don’t have to worry about the trial. Now when is the trial going to happen? Well my study bible says this, “This is the period of testing that will come before the time when Jesus reigns over His kingdom.” So, with all that knowledge let us believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and He wants us all in heaven with Him, so you can continue your walk with God.
The last part of verse 1 says, “I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead!” I think these 2 verses mean you’re on the brink of death or maybe you’re fading away from God. Verse 2 says, “Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die” Because God has found your deeds unfinished. Then verse 4 and 5 says, “Yet you have a few people who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me dressed in white, for they are worthy.” And a little bit of verse 5 says, “I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life.” Now what is the book of life! My study bible says, “This is a common Biblical metaphor referring to all who are part of God’s kingdom. Based on the ancient practice of keeping a list of citizens in a kingdom, this book represents God’s record of all those who accept Jesus as savior and the verses.” I think this means even though you’re on the brink of death or just fading away from God, don’t wait until the last minute to believe God, become those people who have no soiled clothing and come with God dressed in white. Believe so you can be in the book of life and receive eternal life.
Who was this woman in this verse? Well my bible says someone by the name of Jezebel. My study bible says Jezebel was a queen of Israel who promoted the worship of the pagan god Baal. It also says that she misled believers of Christ into pagan practices and eating food sacrificed to idols. Was it wrong to eat food offered to idols? My study bible says, “No. Paul had already shown this act to be morally neutral. But Paul also said that depending on the conscience of the believer, it could lead to sin.” This verse says that if these people followed her ways they would also “suffer intensely” unless they repent of her ways. So let us not be tempted into these other fake-idol practices and keep our eyes focused on Jesus, and keep Him in our heart, soul and mind because the time is very near for the whole world to be judged.
I think this verse means that the “victor” will not be hurt by the second death obviously. Now the second death according to my study Bible says that, “It is eternal punishment in the lake of fire. (20:14-15). Since the believers in Symrna faced physical suffering and death though persecution this was encouragement that though things were bad for them at the time, they would be spared spiritual death or eternal punishment.” But why did this happen to them in the first place? Well it says in verse 9 that, “I know about the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not but are a synagogue of Satan.” Well technically they were Jews. This was a way to say that though they were in fact Jews, they were choosing to reject Jesus and therefore abandoning their inheritance and God’s chosen people. So, let us not reject God in our heart because I don’t think any of us really want to endure eternal punishment. Let’s love God in our hearts because He loves us as well.
It says here that God will remove your lamp stand from its place if you don’t repent. And it says in verse 1:20 that,” the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the 7 lamp stands are the seven churches.” Now God wouldn’t just do this, but these angels or elder/pastors abandoned God’s love. It says in the beginning of this verse says,” consider how far you have fallen!” It says in verse 2 that,” I know your deeds your hard work and perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicket people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not and have found them false.” I think this means that these “angels” are testing these fake apostles and have endured hardships, but they might’ve drifted away from God during that time and if they don’t repent they will lost their church. So let us not drift away from God and also pray for these pastor s and elders to not abandon God and drift away from Him.
Well I may have not fully understood this verse, but this is what I got out of it. When John saw Jesus He was amazed and shocked, it says in verses 13-16, that Jesus was dressed in a,” robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest”,” the hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and eyes were like blazing fire”, ”His feet were like bronze glowing in the furnace, and His voice like the sound of rushing waters.” How amazing would it be like to meet Jesus, I myself would love to meet Him in heaven and probably others as well. The sight would be truly beautiful to see. And all you must do is accept Christ in your heart and know that he loves you so much. After that you get that bundle and get to explore the true wonders of Heaven.
