I guess this ties into what we said earlier about being safe when inviting people over for fellowship. But this verse is about Gaius preaching to people like how the disciples did, and he probably took them into his home. He was not afraid of these strangers in his house because of God. Now this verse is telling us that we don’t have to be afraid because the Lord God is always with you ready to protect you, but we should always be cautious. Like Oppa said yesterday if God is telling you to listen you to do it or not to do it then always listen to Him in trust with your walk with God.
We need to remember that in our walk with God, we should walk with love towards Him. And in our shall steps of faith that we should always keep this in mind, but the verse also says to walk in obedience, probably meaning when you’re in your walk with you always follow Him staying obedient to His word and His teachings and stay only on His path the only right path. So basically let us have an obedient mind and a heart full of love for the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit.
We need to remember that we are children of God so that if the evil one tempts us we will be protected, now we are not always going to be having a forcefield around us to keep Satan away, we also need to know that we are very vulnerable to these attacks. So, we need fend for ourselves and resist “Satan’s Candy store”, by getting stronger in faith. By reading the bible, going to church, praying, whatever gets you closer to God means you’re in the right course of action.
