Revelation 22:18-19
"And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the prophetic words of this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book. And if anyone removes any of the words of his prophetic book, God will remove that person's share in the Tree of Life and in the Holy City that are described in this book."
The book of Revelation ends with a strong warning. We are not to add or remove anything here. These are God's Words and we should revere them as the Holy treasured words of God written down for us. They are not written with a certain viewpoint or political bent. God's words were written by many people from different as if a person is speaking and a reporter is writing those words exactly. They don't take it out of context. They write them down exactly as the speaker says it without the reporter's opinions. I read in the Christian Heroes books about brother Andrew, that he went to a communist nation and he discovered they were rewriting the bible. Those bible were written to fit the communist agenda. We have to be very careful in our present age because many bibles are tainted with an agenda for man. We have to fear God especially in regards to His Words.

Revelation 22:10-11
"Then He instructed me, "Do not seal up the prophetic Words you have written, for the time is near. Let the one who is doing wrong continue to do wrong; the one who is vile, continue to be vile; the one who is good, continue to do good; and the one who is holy, continue in holiness."
God wants this book of Revelation, the prophetic Words, to be open for all to see. That's an important contrast to the scroll given to Daniel. He was instructed to seal it - Daniel 12:4-12, because those words were for the future. These words, for the last days, are not sealed because they are for TODAY. It's a constant warning because Jesus can come back at any time. He can come even as I'm writing this Q.T. The angels tells John that those that are evil and vile will continue to do them. He is reminding all of us that people have already set in their hearts and minds to do evil. Even when God pours down his wrath, they won't change. Those that are good and holy will continue to do them. Ture believers will prosper in these hard times because the harder the storm, the more we cling on to Jesus, our Savior, rock, fortress, our lighthouse. The Holy Spirit will lead us to those desiring to know God. They are like the seed that has not been planted. Once they hear the Good News of Salvation, they will accept and grow.

Revelation 22:1-2
"And the angel showed me a pure river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb, coursing down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a Tree of Life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations."
This is a picture of true paradise. This is what God intended the garden of Eden to be. Now that sin and all evil are gone the true believers are able to drink freely from this pure river of living water. What an amazing sight to see this river flowing down gently through the main street. We will have delicious fruits from the Tree of Life. Even the leave of this tree provides healing. It is interesting to see the nations being healed by these leaves. maybe it's because of all the memories of how badly other nations persecuted Christians. Then again, the bible says in Revelation 21:4, that God will remove all of our sorrows. We will no longer have pain and we will not cry. This is a mystery that God will show us then. Until then, we can pray to God for healing during the hardships we go through now. Since that tree exist, who knows, maybe God will allow us to touch one of these leaves.

Revelation 21:25,27
"Its gates never close at the end of the day because there is no night" vs. 25 "Nothing evil will be allowed to enter - no one who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty - but only whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life." vs. 27
The new earth is completely a new world without sin or anyone that has sin. All of the evil were cast into the lake of fire so no one has the fear of any kind of sinful contamination. God brought a new heaven to earth along with a new Hold Jerusalem. A city made of God's holy people. This city will be the only one able to have gates that never closes. It will truly be a city with open borders. On top of never worrying about enemies invading, God and Jesus will be in this city all the time. We will not need the sun or the moon because they will give enough light throughout the world. In vs. 23, it states, "the glory of God illuminates the city and the Lamb is its light." Every moment every where we have the presence of God on us and Jesus will shine his light where ever we go. That's great news because currently, we have to stay in the Word of God, and those words leads us to the presence of God. It's a struggle now, but in that future, we will be totally set free.
At times, we are not sure if it is truly God speaking to us or someone else. We can make a mistake, yet I believer if you rally have a heart set on following God, you are at least on the right track. In math, we have rules and formulas. math is a universal language. Adding or subtracting is the same in any country. Math is also a building block to gradually go higher. As an example in order to go to multiplication, you have to understand addition. After that you can do exponent and formulas like the quadratic formula. We are not even scratching the surface. Then we eventually go to calculus then even become a mathematician. God has given us a universal language to understand Him better - it's the bible. Like math, it is also based on building blocks. The basic of add or subtract is learning about salvation. We have to understand how everything started. We will find that in Genesis. We see how God made everything and why He created this world. We see the purpose of humans. We see why they failed and how that sin spread. We even read about God's plan of redemption and all of those basic facts are in Genesis 1-3. I wonder how many people understand God has given us so much answers. As we read the Old Testament, we read hints, like a treasure map, to how God will save His greatest creation - people. Suddenly when we read the New Testament, we have 4 books dedicated to the life of Jesus. We call these the 4 Gospels. It is the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. We finally see in these Gospels, the treasures we been waiting for - Salvation. God's mysterious words to Satan and Eve back in Genesis 3:15 is fulfilled in Jesus. Satan has put Jesus to death on the cross, but Jesus was able to pay the full penalty for all of our sins. It's like infinity plus any number still becomes infinity. Satan's move of checkmate was actually on a check because death and the grave could not hold Jesus - God the Son. He was too powerful for them and Jesus resurrected just as He said. He completely destroyed Satan's hold on people. as you read on, you see that God is fair and just. He has given us a conditional promise. He has given us a choice to freely choose Jesus, the only way to heaven, or not. As we read the book of Acts, we see how people are able to minister to others, sharing the Good News of Jesus and even able to do miracles. We are more capable than most of us think. If we believe as the disciples did, imagine what God can do through us. Mark 16:20 says, "The disciples went everywhere and preached and the Lord worked with them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs." I pray that as my wife and I talk about Jesus everywhere, that God will also support it by many miracles. I believe God can do it. As you read further in the New Testament, we have many teachers that will help us to study the advance courses to live correctly and with power for God. We have Paul, Peter, James, Jude, and John. These classes will need to be taken after the basics. We also have many teachers beyond that in the Old Testament such as David, Daniel, Isaiah, or Jeremiah. This great book, the bible, ends with the book of Revelation. This will tell us how everything will end and how everything will be made right. It will show us clearly that God is in control and that He always was in control. I encourage everyone to read God's words daily. It is also crucial to read the entire Bible and to reread it many times. As we become a good diligent student for God, the Words of God will make more sense. God may even give you opportunities to teach His words. when that time come for you, gladly accept it and understand God will help you. One day our imperfect knowledge of God will be perfect and complete. We will understand and I believe God will comfort us to tell us, He is proud of us for sharing the Good News even though we didn't know everything. One of the greatest joy besides being with God and Jesus, is seeing all those people there in the city of this new earth, that became a Christian because God used you. Then you look beyond them to see how many were save because of their testimony. My family and I have served in 2 states and we look forward to ministering in all the United States and God willing, internationally. I can't wait to see all these people and more when we need in the New Earth. I hope you will also follow the calling God has given to you. I encourage you to by saying "Kairos" which means - God's appointed Time. It's God's appointed time for you to take action.

Revelation 21:9
"Then one of the seven angels who held the seven bowls containing the seven last plagues came and said to me, 'Come with me! I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb."
At a wedding, all the guest, the wedding party, and groom are anxiously waiting for the bride to enter. Suddenly the wedding song starts and everyone turns around to see the wedding parade. Then the music changes, designed only for the bride. Everyone stands to look at the beautiful bride that will get married. I can see in these verse how proud God is to present His bride, God's church - His people who's names are written in the Book of Life. They are given the new city Jerusalem to live in. It is amazing and perfect. Everything is measured in multiples of 12 which is the number for God's people. They represent the 12 tribes of Israel and the 12 apostles who started the church. This future home for us will be the perfect home designed only for us. God, the Father, does all this for us because of what Jesus has done for us. Jesus transforms us so we become perfect and His precious blood cleanses us to make us spotless without sin.
Revelation 21:1-8 - QT by KC
Revelation 21:3-4
"I heard a loud shot from the throne saying, 'Look, the home of God is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will remove all of their sorrows, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. For the old world and it's evils are gone forever."
When my family and I go to New Port Beach, CA, I'm always amazed at the beautiful beach homes. They are worth millions. Then I see an area completely empty being prepared for the new home to be built. Usually that home becomes the best until another is built. In vs. 1, we read the old earth, the old heaven, and even the sea disappeared. We read that it is replaced with a brand new heaven and earth. The great city of Jerusalem is replaced with a new one presented by God from the new heaven. Then the unthinkable happens. In vs. 3, we see the home of God is with the people. This is the very best! Nothing can top that. We don't have to fear anything anymore. I love the part where it says we will have no more sorry or pain. This new earth will happen and only those that were thirsty enough to drink the spring of the Water of Life will be here. In vs. 6, God said anyone that is there can drink this without charge. He has plenty of room for everyone. Then we can truly say, we are His children. Let's be faithful til the end.
Revelation 20:11-15 - QT by KC
Revelation 20:13
"The sea gave up the dead in it, and death and the grave gave up the dead in them. They were all judged according to their deeds."
This verse answers where someone goes after they die on earth as an unbeliever. Looks like they are kept in the sea, death, or the grave. They are not in Heaven, but more like a holding cell - a hell, until the final day when God will judge all of these people. This hell will be a terrible place but it will be worst for them after they are judged. God will command these these places to give up the people. They will stand next to those that just died in the last battle, as it states in vs. 12. They will all stand before God's throne and interestingly, the Book of Life and other Books will be opened to judge each of them. They will be judge according to their deeds vs. 13. Some people might think they will escape being punished and even think their good deeds will out weigh the bad. We clearly see in vs. 14, that this thinking is wrong. Everyone that is not found recorded in the Book of Life will be thrown in the lake of fire. Good deeds are not good enough. The only one that will take our sins away is Jesus. Once we accept Jesus in our lives and become a true active believer, we are saved and our names written in the Book of Life. At the end, even death and the grave will be thrown in the lake of fire.

Revelation 20:10
"Then the devil, who betrayed them, was thrown into the lake of fire that burns wit sulfur, joining the beast and the false prophet. There they will be tormented day and night forever and ever."
Victory at last. Satan, the enemy, that caused all this mess in the world, is finally thrown in to the lake of fire and this time, he will never come back out. We will no longer have Satan or his demons tempting us. That will be a glorious day. I can see why God has to completely cleanse this earth of all the sin in the world. Then He does another cleansing here in these verses to make it ready for the next phase of the new earth. I can see from what God will do the importance of holiness. We need to understand how much God hates sin. It's hard for us to imagine a world without sin because we are still in this sinful state, but we can see how wonderful it will be. We see that Satan, the Beast, and the false prophets, are thrown into this lake of fire. Those people that fought with Satan and the Beast, will receive their punishment as well. Unfortunately for all these people, numberless as sand along the shore, they will also be thrown in this lake to be tormented forever.

Revelation 20:3
"The angel threw him into the bottomless pit, which he then shut and locked so Satan could not deceive the nations anymore until the thousand years were finished. Afterward he would be released again for a little while."
When our kids were little, sometimes we would use a timeout to discipline them. We would tell them to go to their room to think about what they did wrong. The idea is good but if that room is filled with all kinds of toys, I'm not sure how effective it is. Standing in a corner is probably more effective. Satan, this so called mighty dragon, was easily captured, chained, and locked up in the bottomless pit. God gives him a 1,000 years time out. I don't think there was anything in there to keep him busy, but that doesn't stop Satan from planning another attack against God. We can conclude Satan will always be God's enemy. Why did God allow Satan to be released even for a short time? I believe it is to give everyone the final test and a choice to follow God or Satan. It's hard to imagine anyone choosing Satan when they had a 1,000 years with God. The best years of anyone's life, but Satan is the great deceiver. He will figure out a way to distort the good to look bad. We have to be prepared.

Revelation 19:19-20
"Then I saw the beast gathering the kings of the earth and their armies in order to fight against the one sitting on the horse and his army. And the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who did mighty miracles on behalf of the beast - miracles that deceived all who accepted the mark of the beast and who worshipped his statue. Bot the beast and his false prophet were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur."
This beast is the anti-Christ and his false prophet is his partner able to do many miracles. They will trick people with empty miracles. I'm not sure if these miracles will be magic, which are illusions, or if they will really be real miracles, ,but one this is clear, they will be used to pull people away from God. These two, sent by Satan, will amass a great army to go against Jesus and His army. To me, this is a silly sight. How can anyone go against the army of God, especially if it's led by Jesus. The battle quickly ends. The two leaders are thrown in this lake of fire, where they will be tormented forever (Rev. 20:10). Unfortunately, all those not written in the Book of Life will also be thrown in (Rev. 20:15). This should be a clear wake up call.
It's interesting that Jesus is no longer seen as a Lab but starting in vs. 11, we see a powerful majestic king on a mighty horse. His name is "Faithful and True". He is also called "Word of God" vs. 13 and "King of Kings and Lord of Lords" vs. 16. I thank God that Jesus came down to earth as a baby. He was like a Lamb, defenseless and weak. He had to be dependent on people, especially a young teenage named Mary. He had a totally rely on God as His shepherd to lead him every day. God, the good shepherd, led Jesus to the places and the people to minister to. Jesus became our great shepherd by being a great lamb. Jesus showed us how to live here on earth like a lamb yet to be victorious. We are to be this strong lamb for God instead of an angry lion. We are to love one another. Jesus told us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. This is not easy to do, but when you stop and think hat Jesus said, He is saying as God the Son, God loves His enemies and prays for those that persecute Him. Isn't that amazing? Jesus proves it many time by His patience for the religious leaders. The he gave the ultimate example when He was on the cross and He said "Father forgive them for they don't know what they are doing." Even when we correct someone, we should do it like a lamb. When my wife and I disciplined our kids, such as giving them a spanking, we talked with them first and made sure they knew why they were getting a spanking. That time of discussion is so important, because we wanted our kids to know we love them so much that we also needed to help correct what was wrong. I believe it was a very important life lesson for our kids, but it was also for us. We Christians, will go through hard times like everyone else, but thank God, we have hope in God He will show us how to over come. Eventually all the true believers will be in heaven. We will all rejoice because Jesus and His army will quickly defeat all the enemies. We will realize finally, as it states in the bible, God and His people wins. Let's firmly put our faith in God, hold on to His promises, and live with hope, love, and joy until Jesus comes to us. Jesus might come sooner than you think, therefore let's live strongly for Him today!

Revelation 19:9
"And the angel said, "Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb." and He added, "These are true words that come from God."
Next year in May, we will go to a wedding on a cruise ship. That is a first for our family and we are looking forward to it. Our family of six are all invited and will be on the guest list. I'm sure when we go in to the large boat, they will make sure our names are on the list. For those not invited, they will not be able to attend the wedding ceremony. In this verse, an angel tells John to write "Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb." That wedding will only be for those that belong to God. We are told those that are true believers, have their names written in the Book of Life. What an appropriate name since we will have eternal life with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He did all the work for us o obtain salvation and amazingly, all He asked is for each of us to become true believers. John 3:16 makes it very simple - believe in Jesus and we will have eternal life. That is our invitation. We will not be rejected. We will celebrate this special wedding day by officially being united with Jesus and finally be right with God.

Revelation 18:24
"In her street the blood of the prophets was spilled. She was the one who slaughtered God's people all over the world."
Anglesusnews.com/news/world/report-around-the-world-200-million-chrisitians-face-persecution
Did you know there are Christians around the world that are persecuted and killed? An annual report from "Open Doors" released on January 15, 2020, states there are 250 million Christians facing persecution daily. North Korea is rank #1 of the 50 most dangerous countries and they have been this evil country with this title for the past 18 years. Persecution can mean: imprisonment, loss of home, loss of assets, torture, rape, and death. The persecution has increase 6% from last year. In vs. 24, it states Babylon has slaughtered God's people all over the world. It's not getting easier for Christian, no, it will get worst. I'm reminded of the frog in the pot analogy. I fee Christians in countries like the United States are slowly accepting all the evil things they do to Christians. Little by little, we are compromising until, when we see persecution or killing of Christians here, it will not faze us. We need a new awakening. We need to recommit to follow Jesus. Our hearts needs to be on fire for God, because this evil world will perish, but God's people will be victorious.

Revelation 18:20
"But you, O heaven, rejoice over her fate, and you also rejoice, O holy people of God and apostles and prophets! For at last God has judged her on your behalf."
I wonder how people felt when the evil empire they were living in suddenly collapsed. The people causing the evil and getting rich were terrified. Those that were prisons of war, on the other hand, finally saw relief. The last days will be filled with evil leaders that turned their country to a godless nation. When God finally brings His judgement, He will take His people away fro this war before it begins. Once His people are safe, he will unleash the punishment that these people deserved. As these verses state several times, such as vs. 17 or 19, this war will end in an hour. It will be no contest. God will win easily. While many people will be sad because the world has lost, the people of God will rejoice. This victory is written down as a promise that it will happen. God has never broken His promises, so we just need to keep our eyes on God and hold on to His promises.

Revelation 18:7-8
"She has lived in luxury and pleasure, so match it now with torments and sorrows. She boast, "I am queen on my throne. I am no helpless widow. I will not experience sorrow." Therefore, the sorrows of death and mourning and famine will over take her in a single day. She will be utterly consumed by fire, for the Lord God who judges her is mighty."
When I read this, it strangely sounds like the United States. This country is still the most powerful country in the world. Most of the nations are connected to us. When we face a big financial crisis, everyone in the world feels it. John was talking about the down fall of Babylon, but he was referring to Rom, the most powerful country at the time. Throughout history, God raises up a super power and it is God that prospers them for His purposes. As I read the bible, it seems like these countries have a common flaw. They all fall when they stop giving God the glory. For God, it's very for Him to set up a mighty country, but He can easily tear it down in a day. The mighty USA started out worshiping God, but now it is, in my opinion, one of the most evil countries in the world. Just as Babylon was destroyed, our country can also be destroyed, unless we humble ourselves, and turn to follow God again. It's not too late since God is merciful.

Revelation 17:17
"For God has put a plan into their minds, a plan that will carry out His purposes. They will mutually agree to give their authority to the scarlet beast, and so the Words of God will be fulfilled."
God is in control. Even though at time, it seems the plans of the enemies are progressing, but in reality, those were also God's plans. We read in chapter 17 about a strange sight of the great prostitute (Babylon or any empire against God's people), the scarlet beast (Satan or Antichrist), and the waters (masses of people around the world that follows the beast). All of these figures hate God, yet we read in vs.16, the beast and the waters also hates the prostitute. They overcame her and destroyed her. Then we read in vs. 17, that this was caused because God put that plan in their minds. God can strike fear in people as He did to the people in Jericho to give Joshua and his men an easy victory. God can bring confusion in His enemies to give Gideon and his 300 men and unlikely win. God can cause people to be off guard to give Abraham and his small army of less than 300 to defeat many armies in the hundreds of thousands. God is in control. The more we acknowledge this, the more we can see how God is moving throughout all the nations and people. God sees everything and His words will be fulfilled. At the end, the beast and all his followers will go to war against the Lamb, but will lose (vs.14). We Christians, will be on the winning side. In vs. 14, it states, we are the called, the chosen, and the faithful ones.

Revelation 16:17
"Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl in to the air. And a might shout came from the throne of the temple in heaven, saying, "It is finished!"
The finish line is that line when you pass it, you finally finished the race. There are many people that runs a marathon, not to win the race, but just to finish it. It's a great accomplishment. The last bowl of the seven, poured out, is the last and therefore there is a shout that "It is finished". Those that have remained faithful to God are all rejoicing. Sadly, the people that remains on earth curses God. These people and all those that have rejected God will spend eternity regretting that. They will probably think, If I only have one more chance. The reality is, if they had another chance, they still will find a way to reject God. For them, they never want to cross the finish line. We Christian, on the other hand, run with purpose and racing towards the end. We can't wait until we finally meet our creator and savior. We love to see that finish line because that means we can join those that went before us. For me, I can't wait to see my uncle Frank. The end is coming sooner than we think as vs. 15 states, "I will come as unexpectedly, as a thief."
Revelation 16:8-15 - QT by KC
Revelation 16:9
"Everyone was burned by this blast of heat, and they cursed the name of God, who sent all of these plagues. They did not repent and give Him glory."
Some people say that if God shows Himself to them in a miraculous way, they will completely believe and follow Him. Here, we see God showing Himself in mighty ways and these people do believe, but instead of following God, they curse Him. These people made up their minds a long time ago that they will refuse to believe in God no matter what. They make many excuses, some sounds like valid reasons, but at the end, they love themselves and do not want anyone, including God, to change them. We see here in vs. 9 & 11, that their lives are ruin, yet they refuse to repent of their evil deeds. We will face many of these people in our lives. It's easy to be sympathetic to them and even agree with them of their reasons to not believe in God. Instead of doing this kind of way, we need to understand the more they reject God now the harder it will be for them to repent later. We can challenge these people now by not agreeing with them and give them clear warnings of things to come. Beyond that, we have to move on, not be discourage, and give them to God. You haven't given up on them, but given them time. When God reminds you of them, you can reach back out with love. Beside these people, there are millions more in this world hungry to hear the Good News.

Revelation 16:7
"And I heard a voice from the altar saying, "Yes, Lord God Almighty, Your punishments are true and just."
Our powerful God could have destroyed the earth and everything in it with a simple word at any time. In Star Wars, the Death Star shows it's great power by completely wiping out a planet. This would is small compared to other planets like Jupiter. Our might God made the universe, but the people on this earth seems to be His greatest creation. He is extremely patient with us, but when the final judgement come, it will be the end. God does everything with purpose and there is a reason His judgement are in the scroll, seals, trumpets, and bowls. When you see the 10 plagues God sent to Egypt, they all represented the 10 gods they worshiped. Maybe these different types of judgement are the many gods this world worships as well. When it's all said and done, everyone will know and acknowledge God's judgement was fair and just. Even the altar of sacrifice tells God this. Those that didn't accept Jesus will realize they were given several fair opportunities. No one will blame God. For those that did receive salvation, they will be grateful and know it was all God.

Revelation 15:3-4
"And they were singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb: "Great and marvelous are your actions, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are Your ways, O King of the nations. Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify you Name? For You alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before You, for Your righteous deeds have been revealed."
This song of Moses and Song of the Lamb here is a shorten version of Exodus 15. It was a great celebration because all the Israelite walked through the Red Sea when God parted it. They walked on dry ground. Once they were on the other side, God brought the waters back down to destroys their enemies. God completely delivered his people. Like that time, in the last days, God will completely destroy our enemies and we will have total freedom to finally worship God. In Ex. 14:31, it states, the people of Israel saw the mighty power of God. They then feared God and put their faith in Him. The last days are coming and we will join in singing this song of victory. We will all see the mighty power of God. God is just and true, and everyone, believers and non-believers, will bow down and worship Him. His ways are righteous. No one will point their finger at God and blame Him. Everyone will realize God's judgement on all of us is much deserved. By the grace of God, we Christians will be saved.

Revelation 14:14-16
"Then I saw the Son of Man sitting on a white cloud. He had a gold crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand. Then an angel came from the temple and called out in a loud voice to the One sitting on the cloud, "use the sickle, for the time has come for you to harvest; the crop is ripe on the earth." So the One sitting on the cloud swung His sickle over the earth, and the whole earth was harvested."
God is very patient but He will not tolerate the dark forces to keep harming His people. He will bring judgement on the entire earth. When that happens, nothing will stop the punishment. It's interesting that Jesus is the one that harvest the good people or in another words, instead of an angel doing this, He has chosen to come back to gather His people. Jesus will keep His promise of coming back for us. In Luke 21:25-28, Jesus said he will come back in a cloud with power and glory. The punishment will be carried out by an angel with one swing of his sickle. God could easily bring this punishment now, but because of His great mercy for all those that are suppose to be saved but haven't yet, he is holding back His wrath. With everything going on, it appears it's getting worst for believers. These are all the correct signs that Jesus will come for us soon. We just have to remain faithful since we know how it will all end.

Revelation 14:13
"And I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Write this down: blessed are those who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, they are blessed indeed, for they will rest from all their toils and trials; for the good deeds follow them!"
When a Christian, a true believer dies, there is a peace that surrounds that place. Everyone believes or knows that person believed in eternal life. The fact is, everyone will live eternally since our souls never dies. The believers will have eternal life and the non-believers eternal death. For the non-believers, they end up worshiping the beast, at the end times (vs. 9). They will drink the wine of God's wrath (vs.10), they will be forever tormented with fire and burning sulfur (vs.10), and they will have no relief day and night (vs.11). A non-believer should be very afraid to die. Many, in the last days, chooses to reject God. The believers on the other hand have patiently endured persecution, remained firmed to the end, kept obeying God's command, and trusted Jesus (vs.12). They will rest and not face anymore toils and trials (vs.13). They have followed Jesus by doing good deeds (vs.13). We, Christians, the true believers, will live a wonderful eternal life full of love, joy, and peace. The Fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23) in heaven will all be at a 100%

Revelation 14:4-5
"For they are spiritually undefiled, pure as virgins, following the Lamb wherever He goes. They have been purchased from among the people on the earth as a special offering to God and to the Lamb. No falsehood can be charged against them; they are blameless."
We are finally given more information to these 144,000 that we read in Rev. 7. We understand that they are from the tribes of Israel (vs. 4), they are each given the Seal of God on their foreheads, this event happened right before the trumpets, they are spiritually undefiled and pure virgins (that can mean they only serve God), Jesus paid for them with His blood, and they are blameless (because Jesus has completely cleanse them from all their sins). When you read this list, especially towards the end, it seems like it's talking about Christians around the world, even non-Jews. Some scholars believe these 144,000 are all believers. In Rev. 7:9, it states, John saw a vast crowd from every nation, tribe, people, and language before the throne and the Lamb. Some scholars believe all the believers are in heaven in Rev. 7:9. john is told by one of the elders these people with the white clothes are those coming out of the tribulation and their robes wash with the blood of Jesus. We rejoice because if this is true, we will all be standing with Jesus - Rev. 14:1.

Revelation 13:16-17
"He required everyone - great and small, rich and poor, slave and free - to be given a mark on the right hand or on the forehead. And no one could buy or sell anything without that mark, which was the name of the beast or the number representing his name."
The mark of the beast is Satan's copycat of the Seal of God. Those that have the Seal of God are promised that their souls will be saved and spend eternity safe with God. These faithful true believers, I believe, are from Israel - Rev. 7:4. They are descendants from Abraham. They will go through this terrible tribulation. They will be put in prison and some will be killed - Rev. 13:10. That time will be 3 1/2 years of struggle on earth. The people that choose the mark of the beast will enjoy that short 3 1/2 years. They will be able to eat and drink as long as they worship the beast. These people will choose this short time of pleasure to throw away an eternity with God. At the end of this terrible time, those that have the mark of the beast will follow Satan to his demise (Rev. 20:10). Those that have chosen to follow God will be rewarded to be with God in paradise - a new heaven and new earth (Rev 21) for all eternity.
Revelation 13:1-10 - QT by KC
Revelation 13:2
"This beast looked like a leopard, but it had bear's feet and a lion's mouth! And the dragon gave him his own power and throne and great authority."
The dragon and his angels or demons, failed in the heavenly war. They failed in killing baby Jesus, and they failed in capturing the woman, which represents Israel. They needed a victory, so they turn to the people who they have ruled. The people of this world are easily impressed and are convinced that the beast of the sea, who Satan is controlling, is more powerful than anyone else (vs.4). I'm not sure why they would think this when God is pouring his wrath down and showing everyone how powerful He is. It's interesting but not surprising that in verse 8, these people on earth do not have their names written in the Book of Life. Since God sees all past, present, and future, He already knows these people will continue to reject Him, even in those dark times. These people are blinded, but in many sense, they are covering their own eyes. When I think of these people, I'm reminded of Pharaoh and how he kept on refusing to submit to God, because of his stubborn heart. The king of Egypt were worshiped as the son of the Sun God. They were taught as a baby that they are special and have powers. When that Pharaoh realized he and his armies were no match for God, they released God's people. His lost of power made him crazy and he ordered his army to chase after the people. Eventually, the whole army was destroyed. This is the picture of the end times.
Revelation 12:7-18 - QT by KC
Revelation 12:7
"Then there was war in heaven. Michael and the angels under his command fought the dragon and his angels."
We see in these verses what was happening during a war in heaven. We have to ask ourselves when did this war take place. It would seem like this war took place after the child, who is Jesus, was taken to God or in another words, after Jesus ascended into heaven. This war could have taken place before the creation of the world. It will be important to note that when you read the book of Job, we see Satan went to see God to accuse people of their sins. We have to ask ourselves, did Satan and his corrupt angels, have access to heaven? The answer is a surprising, Yes. At first, we don't understand because we see heaven as place where no sin can be allowed. What we see here is Satan and his angels had special access. That all changed when Jesus paid for all of our sins and resurrected. Satan and his demons couldn't bring any more accusations against us because God would simply say, "Jesus paid it all". Then this war happening after the accession of Jesus makes sense. We see that Satan and his army are easily defeated and thrown down to the world. We can assume they no longer have access to heaven and no longer welcomed in heaven. Some people put this war during the tribulation when the 2 witnesses are here. That is a strong possibility. Either case, God wins and Satan is soundly defeated. Satan is very angry that he can no longer accuse us, but that will not stop him from dragging as many people down with him as possible. God sees all this and will bring Satan the ultimate judgement. To the weary Christians out there, I hope you are encouraged by these verses. Hang in there! Until then, let's stay faithful and do what God has planned for us.
Revelation 12:1-6 - QT by KC
Revelation 12:5
"She gave birth to a boy who was to rule all nations with an iron rod. And the child was snatch away from the dragon and was caught up to God and to His throne."
Revelation 12 seems to be out of sync from what we just read in the previous chapters. We have to realize the trumpets and the bowls are more details of the seals. These verse are fascinating because now we get to see what happened to Jesus but in the eyes from heaven We read that the Child (Jesus) born from the woman (representing the 12 tribes or God's people) was saved from the red dragon (Satan) and taken to God in heaven. We read in verse 4, the dragon was waiting to devour the child as soon as it was born but God saved Him. Satan only wants to kill and destroy; whereas God wants to protect us as He did for the Child. We read in verse 4, the dragon's tail dragged down 1/3 of the stars (angels). Dragged is not a pleasant word. Satan used lies and deception to take with him these angels that became his demons. Jesus, on the other hand, will rule all nations with love, truth, and mercy. He will protect us from our enemies with that unbreakable rod (vs. 5). God will protect His people from Satan during the 1,200 days when Satan will cause much harm. The wilderness spoken of in verse 6 is a place that God prepared in advance to protect His people from Satan. it is a place of refuge. It is also a place where God takes care of us. We all need to find this wilderness to run to and find answers from God. Ask God to show you this refuge and He will give you rest.
Revelation 11:15-19 - QT by KC
Revelation 11:15
"Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices shouting in heaven, "The whole world has now become the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign forever and ever."
When I read these verse, I'm reminded of the movie "Lion King". Simba, the king's son, was not taken seriously by his enemies. He eventually comes back to defeat all of his enemies and bring order back to his country. When Jesus was here physically, many people didn't take Him seriously, especially His enemies. Satan and all of the demons knew exactly who He was. They even knew what will happen to them at the end times. In Matthew 8:29, the demons cried out, "What business do we have with each other, Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?" These enemies eventually killed Jesus, but witnessed Him being resurrected. He completely overcame them, but the end didn't happen then. The enemy knows they have a limited time to cause as much harm before Jesus comes again. They know, as we do, when Jesus comes back,; He will come to conquer and have total victory. As this verse says - the whole world has become the Kingdom of Jesus. And when He starts reigning, it will be for all eternity. His enemies knows Jesus will come back and their agenda is to increase darkness until that day comes. We need to increase the Light of Jesus until that day comes, because Jesus, our King, is coming soon.
Revelation 11:1-14 - QT by KC
Revelation 11:4-5
"These two prophets are the two olive trees and the two lamp stands that stand before the Lord of all the earth. If anyone tries to harm them, fire flashes from the mouths of the prophets and consumes their enemies. This is how anyone who tries to harm them must die."
Who are these two witnesses? Most scholars believe it is Moses and Elijah. When Jesus was transfigured, He was talking with Moses and Elijah (Matt. 17:1-7). These two represents the judgement of God. God worked through Moses to bring the 10 plagues to Egypt (Exodus 7-11) and God worked through Elijah to defeat the prophets of Baal - false prophets (1 Kings 18). In Malachi 4:5, it is prophesied that Elijah will be sent again before the judgement day. They will be super charged and can bring destruction to anyone as they wish (vs. 6). They are there to help the people to repent and turn to God. It's sad that they are not taken seriously. In fact, all the people (vs.10) celebrate their death when the beast (vs.7) killed them. Some people are finally awaken when God raises these two back to life. They are taken up, then a great earthquake kills 7,000 people. That number is small in comparison to the events. Finally, some people give glory to God out of fear. People are stubborn, but when it comes to God, we all need to bow down and worship Him. I just hope many will do this before the judgement day.

Revelation 10:7
"But when the seventh angel blows his trumpet, God's mysterious plan will be fulfilled. It will happen just as He announced it to His servants the prophets."
One day, God will unravel the mysteries of the future. It's amazing that God, in His infinite wisdom and mercy, has given us this book of Revelation. We have had this book for almost 2,000 years. You would think people would cherish a book of the future and heed God's warning. This message of destruction and God's judgement is not pleasant. Just like the little scroll that John ate; it's sweet at first then it become bitter. Gaining this insight and knowledge is great but then you realize you have to make a decision. Telling believers of the coming judgement is important and they need to get right with God. It also awakens us to no longer avoid talking about the end times with non believers. That can be very hard and for many, a very controversial talk. That scroll made John's stomach sour. yes, it's unpleasant to talk to anyone about the last days of God's judgement, but we have to make a decision to share it. We may get into heated discussions, we might lose friends, and we might even get hurt but reading this book of the future should wake us up to what everyone will face.
Revelation 9:13-21 - QT by KC
Revelation 9:20-21
"But the people who did not die in these plagues still refused to turn from their evil deeds. They continued to worship demons and idols made of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood - idols that neither see nor hear nor walk! And they did not repent of their murders or their witchcraft or their immorality or their theft."
I've heard people say, "some people never learn" and in these verse, it seems that's the case. The sixth trumpet seems scarier than the strange looking locusts we saw in the fifth trumpet. In that trumpet, people couldn't die, even when they wanted to. The sixth trumpet will cause 33% of the remaining people to die. They are 200 million horses led by four angels. They have been preparing for many years just for this task. Interestingly, the people will die from three plagues: Fire, Smoke, and Burning Sulfur coming out of the mouths of these horses. The amazing thing here is how foolish these people are of clinging to worthless things in this world. they can't take anything with them. They seem to be completely blinded and go to their graves like that. We need God to change our hearts of stone to hearts of flesh described in Ezekiel 36:26. If your heart is hard, have faith in God. Pray to Him now and ask God to give you a heart of flesh.
Revelation 9:1-12 - QT by KC
Revelation 9:3-4
"Then locust came from the smoke and descended on the earth, and they were given power to sting like scorpions. They were told not to hurt the grass or plants or trees, but to attack all the people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads."
The fifth trumpet has a strange beginning where the bottomless pit is opened. It was locked like a prison. What we see coming out are the strangest looking locusts described in verses 7-10. We see that their king is an angel (vs.11) called the destroyer. It's very possible that all these locusts and the destroyer are fallen angels or in another words, demons. They don't have the power to do whatever they want but commanded by God what they can and can not do. It states in verse 5, that they will torture everyone that doesn't have the seal of God, yet are told not to kill. People will be in extreme pain similar to a scorpion sting. I have read a scorpion sting is very painful and can last 7 to 10 days. The world's deadliest scorpion is the Indian Red scorpion and can be found in places like India. I have a feeling that these locust stings will be worst. People will want to die but can't (vs. 6). That's such a unusual picture, but God is telling people He is the author of life and death. People will not have their ways in the end times. We are all blessed now. Right now, people are living in a time of grace at this time, but it won't last. We have the opportunity to repent and get right with God before it's too late. This book is a warning that these scary events will come. The good news for true believers is they will not be harmed because they will already be with God in Heaven. God is good.

Revelation 8:12
"Then the fourth angel blew his trumpet and one-third of the sun was struck, and one-third of the moon, and one-third of the stars, and they became dark. And one-third of the day was dark and one-third of the night also."
The picture in verse 12, is like a sci-fi movie in the future. In this movie, we see an eerie world that is more red or orange. It looks like an unhealthy earth. What would really happen if the sun, moon, and stars were only operating at 66%? The days and nights will be very different. The weather will be colder and we will see strange storms, especially a the sea. When you combine these with the other things in the first three trumpets, it becomes harder to live in this world. We will see a huge fire that burns up 33% of all the trees and vegetation on earth. The oceans will become contaminated and kills off 33% of all sea life. 33% of the drinking water will become poisonous and kill people and other living things. People will see clearly that these are not man made and is not coincidence. They will all conclude something much greater than them are causing it. Everyone will fully acknowledge that God is the only real and true God, but will they repent? Sadly, most will not, even when it is very clear. The bigger question is: What will you do?
Revelation 8:1-5 - QT by KC
Revelation 8:4
"The smoke of the incense, mixed with the prayers of the saints, ascended up to God from the altar where the angel had pour them out."
The seventh seal opens up the seven trumpets. Seven is a perfect number representing God. Seven seals, seven trumpets, and seven bowls represents 3 repetition of 7. When we read about the four living being with eyes all over their wings inside and out, they cried out day after day, "Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty." Saying something once states the fact. saying it twice means it's important. Saying it three times means this is to be taken very seriously and we must always remember it. It causes us to not ignore it but to take action. God is telling us to the message in Revelation is very important. We must live according to it, share it, and it must impact us. This scene of the incense is a vivid picture of how our prayers goes to God. The incense burner is filed with hot live coals and when incense is poured on it, a sweet smelling smoke rises up. God views true believers' prayers like this and listens to everyone of them. Our perfect holy God, who will bring judgement to this world, hears our prayers. He loves us and has a perfect plan to rescue us. Let's start praying!
Revelation 7:9-17 - QT by KC
Revelation 7:16-17
"They will never again be hungry or thirsty, and they will be fully protected fro the scorching noontime heat. For the Lamb who stands in front of the throne will be their shepherd. he will lead them to the springs of life-giving water. And God will wipe away all their tears."
One day, maybe even tomorrow, all the true believers will be in heaven. It will happen so quickly like a blink. We will be with Jesus during the rapture (vs.9). We will have our resurrected bodies then. According to these verses, we will never be hungry or thirsty again. That means, we will be set free from the desires of the flesh. We will be "fully protected" by God, especially from the scorching heat. That means, God is no longer invisible but visible and no more harm will come to us. Jesus, th great shepherd, will lead us to an amazing place of fresh life-giving water. I could almost picture how refreshing that will be. the greater blessing is we will always be with Jesus. We will understand what it will be like to be His disciple because He will be teaching us daily. On top of all this no more tears in heaven. God will wipe them all away. That is an awesome picture of Love. We, the true believers, who comes out of the "great tribulation" (vs.14), will get all these.
Extended study:
In vs. 9, we read about this vast crowd too numerous to count. I believe these are all the true believers that was taken up during the rapture. The big question is when they went up. Let's read vs. 14 "And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then, finally, the end will come." Jesus is telling us that God is more than fair and will give every tribe, people, and nations a chance to hear the good news of salvation, then the final judgement will start. Since God's judgement will not start until the last person hears the good news, the next question is how many are left that have not hear the good news. On the Ethnos360 website: https://ethnos360.org/about it states that there are 6,500 people groups in the world and 2,500 people groups are still unreached. My question for you is, what would have to this world when only 1,000 people groups are still unreached? I believe it will get a lot darker for God's people. it will be much more difficult to remain a Christian. The world and the governments, in my opinion, will look very different that it does now. If COVID-19 can cause the churches to stop having people meet at the church, what's next.? Another question for you is where are the fastest growing churches now? On the website Christian Post there is an interesting article that address this question: https://www.christianpost.com/news/fastest-growing-church-has-no-buildings-no-central-leadership-and-is-mostly-led-by-women.html The underground church in Iran is the fastest growing church. Before it was places like China and North Korea. These places has the greatest persecution, yet God's people are thriving. Isn't that interesting. I believe as more persecution happens, God's people will rise up, but there will be those that will fade away. Let's be those that are faithful and victorious until Jesus comes.
Revelation 7:1-8 - QT by KC
Revelation 7:3
"Wait! Don't hurt the land or the sea or the trees until we have placed the seal of God on the foreheads of His servants."
When God place a seal of something, it cannot be broken unless the intended recipient breaks it. For the scroll, the only one was Jesus, the sacrificial lamb. That scroll was in a sense addressed to Him because He was the One that saved mankind. We read that in vs.2, an angel coming from the east was carrying the seal of the Living God. We are told judgement was halted so 144,000 believers will have the seal of God on their foreheads. These 144,000 of the tribe of Israel might be the martyrs seen in Rev. 6:9. These might be specially selected individuals that God convicts to go through this terrible tribulation. Strangely, they are all Israelis. Today, many people from Israel, do not believe Jesus is the Messiah, but the number of those converting to be a Christian is rising. Remember, the tribes of Israel are scattered all over the world. Some are very strong followers of Jesus. When we go to Rev. 14, we read in more detail of these 144,000 set aside for God. The Seal of God on their foreheads represents that they belong to God. No one will take away their salvation, even if they are killed. I believe they will be specially anointed by the Holy Spirit with power and wisdom to be like a light house to this dark world. During the time of God's judgement, the world will definitely be the darkest time in history. Satan is a liar but also a copy cat. He will also put a seal on his followers, placed on their hand or on the forehead (Rev. 13:16). the seal of God doesn't mean they will not suffer, but it will bring them great comfort.
Revelation 6:12-17 - QT by KC
Revelation 6:15-16
"Then the kings of the earth, the rulers, the generals, the wealthy people, the people with great power, and every slave and every free person - all hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. And they cried to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of the one who sits on the throne and the wrath of the lamb."
There have been many people, past, present, and will be more in the future, that have challenged Christians to show them God is real. I believe they say these things trembling with fear, but laughs and finds relief when God doesn't show Himself. There are comedians who jokes about God as if He doesn't exist. Many people lives as if God doesn't exist. The bible says narrow is the road that leads to life and few find it (Matt. 7:13-14). These people think they are so smart but they don't understand God's patience and His perfect timing. We read before when Jesus broke the fifth seal, God tells the martyrs to wait a little longer, but he will definitely avenge their blood. Now the sixth seal is broken and the whole world is completely shaken. People will have no choice but to believe, but they know they will be punished. Now they are terrified. These same people that mocked God and His people are trying to hide from God, which is silly since God knows everything and see everything. In one day everything they owned is gone! What a sad life for those that put all their trust in this world. Their only hope is to find favor with God. They need salvation, but sadly, they see no hope and only wants to die. A good question here is, will God grant them salvation if they ask? The answer is a resounding "Yes", but the bigger question is will they even ask? Maybe very few in my opinion, but most will not. Another great question is, will the Christian be in this judgement? I don't see any Christians in the list of people we read in vs. 15-16. Then, where are the believers? They have already been raptured and in heaven. Some believe they have been raptured before the scroll is opened and if that is true, that is good news for the church. My personal stand on this is I also believe all the Christians are taken up with Jesus before the judgement or tribulation (Pre-Tribulation), but I will accept whatever God gives to us. Once again, I do firmly believe that Christians will no longer be on the earth when the sixth seal is open. My friends, if you are not certain about your salvation, make sure today. These seals could be opened at any moment. If you are trusting in this world's riches, it's time to trust in God and His salvation for you. As you can see, salvation will be more valuable than all the riches in the world. If you need help with this, please contact us and we will help you.
Revelation 6:9-11 - QT by KC
Revelation 6:11
"Then a white robe was given to each of them. An they were told to rest a little longer until the full number of the servants of Jesus had been martyred."
The fifth seal is broken and we see those that were martyred under the altar. The altar represents a place in the temple of God where animals were scarified for sins. These martyred died for the word of God and for being faithful in their witness for God (vs.9). What's unusual about this picture is a sacrifice is done on top of an altar, but the souls of these martyrs are under the altar. When the animals are sacrificed, it's blood runs down the base of the altar. The altar is cleaned up after all the sacrifice is done. These martyrs are still below the altar because there will be more that will be martyred for their faith. we read that they want God to "avenge their blood against these people" (vs.11). God tells them, it will happen but to "rest a little longer until the full number of the servants of Jesus had been martyred" (vs.11). When I think of all the injustice in history of how badly Christians have been treated, it makes perfect sense judgement should happen. There will be more killed because of their allegiance to Jesus. We might be killed. The good news is we should not fear death since we are already saved. God will avenge us. These martyrs will be recognized in heaven wearing white robes. That will be a beautiful sight.

Revelation 6:8
"And I looked up and saw a horse whose color was pale green like a corpse, and Death was the name of the rider, who was followed around by Grave. They were given authority over one-fourth of the earth, to kill with the sword and famine and disease and wild animals."
Jesus, our perfect lamb, breaks the seal of the third seal that releases the black horse with its rider. The rider is holding a scae to represent his power over the economy. In vs.6, it states that the price of bread (wheat and barley), olive oil, and wine will be extremely high (a day's wage). That's like $100 for a loaf of bread. In another words, all the essential items will be expensive. Our economy will crash. Then Jesus breaks the fourth seal, and that releases the fourth and final horse. This horse brings with it a companion. This horse is the color of death, pale green, and we are told the name of the rider is Death. His companion's name is Grave or Hades. This is the scariest of all the horses because we are told in vs. 8 that he was given authority over 25% of the earth. They will kill the people in various ways. This is the judgement of God - the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, yet God is merciful to spare most of the people. He is giving people another opportunity to turn to God. Will they? I hope many do.
Revelation 6:1-4 - QT by KC
Revelation 6:3-4
"When the lamb broke the second seal, I heard the second living being say, "Come!" And another horse appeared, a red one. Its rider was given a mighty sword and authority to remove peace from the earth. And there was war and slaughter everywhere."
Jesus, the lamb of God, now takes the scroll that no one else can open and begins to open the seals. The first four are the judgments of God. They are represented by a horse with it's riders, each a different color and each representing a different judgment. These horses and it's riders are angels specifically set aside by God to administer His judgement. The first horse is white that represents victory. I believe it's an announcement stating to everyone about the judgement to come. I'm not sure if there is a delay until the other three seals are opens, but it seems like they are opened quickly, one by one as a set. The second seal is the red horse representing war. He will remove peace from the earth. That's a scary thought. God's judgement is swift and no one will be able to stop it. It's a reminder to us that at this time god is very very patient but He is not blind. He sees all. Thank God we are not living in a time of judgement. In Proverbs 1:7, it states the fear of God is the beginning of knowledge. it's time we fear God now because judgment is coming.
Extended study:
The bible is great for it's own commentary. Interestingly, in Zachariah 6:1-8, it talks about these horses pulling chariots. These horses are also white, red, black, and gray. I believe these are the same horses and these also are representing judgment. In these verses, they were commanded by God to "Go and patrol the earth" (vs.7). My friends, judgment is coming so we must be ready.
To gain more insight, Matthew 24 (The Olivet Discourse), is a fascinating read that talks about the last days. When you read it, you see the similarities to what we just read in Revelation. Jesus is teaching his disciples and tells them of future events, but it's written down for us as well. Let's read Matthew 24:4-6 "Jesus told them, "Don't let anyone mislead you. For many will come in my name saying. 'I am the Messiah,' They will lead many astray. And wars will break out near and far, but don't panic. Yes, these things must come, but the end won't follow immediately." As you read that, it was just like the events of the red horse. Interestingly, before that, Jesus said, there will be people that will even say they are the Messiah, the chosen one, and many people will be led astray. Something has to happen in this world that will cause the entire world wanting a savior. Jesus said, don't be misled and also don't panic because these things must happen. Jesus goes on to talk about majors wars, famines and earthquakes all over the world ( 3rd and 4th horse). He said this will only be the beginning of the terror. He then addresses what will happen to the Christians in vs. 9 by saying we will be arrested, persecuted, and killed because they hate us for giving our allegiance to Jesus. Sounds like it's will get far worst for us Christians. Jesus said in vs. 10 that many believers will turn away from Him and there will be serious fights among Christ followers. It will get worst. in vs. 11-12, Jesus said, lots of false prophets will appear, mislead many, sin will be very active everywhere, and the love people have will grow and become cold. Jesus then gives a promise in vs. 13 by simply stating that those who endure until the end will be saved. That is the hope will must carry every day. In vs. 6, Jesus said the end won't follow immediately, but comforts us by telling us when the end will come. You might say, that's not comforting, and you will be right if you just stopped here. When you read further in vs. 26-31, you see what will happen before the judgement starts. Jesus says, in vs. 31, He will send his angels to "gather together His chosen ones" all over the world. This the rapture. Jesus also says, when He comes, everyone will know (vs. 27-28). That day will be any other day for most people but it shouldn't be for us. We should be awaiting expecting at any moment Jesus will arrive. Jesus gives us an example of how it was in the days of Noah. Noah and his family build this ark, a very large boat on top of a mountain. It took him about a 100 years and for that whole time people just laughed at them or ignored them. Finally when God closed the door to the ark, it didn't impact the people at all until the flood came. When we Christians are raptured, it may shock some, but it won't cause them to panic. They will do that when the judgment start, just like when the flood started. We are the laughing stock of the world now, just like Noah and his family were, but when that day of judgement comes, they will not be laughing then. No one will know when this day will be except God (vs.36). That's actually a good thing. Think about it for a minute. If we knew the exact day and time Jesus will come back to take us, some Christians will sin all the way to the day before His arrival to get all cleaned up. Jesus doesn't in favor of that attitude and will banish them as hypocrites (vs.48-49, 50). Instead we are to always be ready and be faithful to manage his household (vs. 45-47). Jesus will arrive unannounced and unexpected (vs.50). Dear friends, let's head this strong warning. Let this be like a super strong coffee that wakes us up and start taking the warnings seriously. One day soon everyone will hear the good news and Jesus will arrive to take all of us, the true and faithful Christian. Are you ready? If not, it's not too late. Get right with Him today!
Revelation 5:8-14 - QT by KC
Revelation 5:9-10
"And they sand a new song with these words: "You are worthy to take the scroll and break it's seals and open it. For you were killed, and your blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. And you have caused them to become God's kingdom and His priests. And they will reign on the earth."
When we think of how Jesus died, it's a terrible image of what people did to torture and kill someone. The flogging would completely break anyone with massive damages. If that didn't kill you they will certainly die from crucifixion. It was the worst way a person could be executed, even to this day. Often times we only think about what's happening on this physical world, but we should be looking beyond to what's happening in heaven. When Jesus died, I believe there was sadness in heaven, but then since they knew the meaning of his death, they also rejoiced. It took God the Son to die so we can be right with God. His blood was our ransom. Now when I think of the word "ransom", I think of a kidnapper wanting something in exchange for that person - ransom. Since the penalty for sin is death (Romans 6:23), satan, held us as his captives until a ransom was paid. Interestingly, the more you study this, you will come with only one solution. Nothing else will work. The only way was Jesus to come here to sacrifice Himself for everyone in the world - past, present, and future (Romans 6:9-10) - and since the ransom was paid in full (1 Timothy 2:5-6), God commanded satan to release all the people. This created a new identity for us if we choose to follow God. It's also interesting that God gave us a choice to follow Him, but if you really think about it, there is a beauty in free will. Anyway you look at it, God is good. With this new identity, we are also made rulers, kings and queens, to one day rule the new earth. More on the new earth when we get towards the end of Revelation. He has also made us priest so we can be the mediator between God and people (1 Peter 2:5-9). The power of what Jesus did for us brings a new light of understanding when looking up to heaven. we should look up to heaven more often. There is great hope for those that are victorious.

Revelation 5:4-5
"Then I wept because no one could be found who was worthy to open the scroll and read it. But one of the twenty-four elders said to me, "Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the heir to David's throne, has conquered. He is worthy to open the scroll and break its seven seals."
Jesus is represented as a Lion and a Lamb. They are completely different animals. One is the hunter and the other is the prey. One is feared and the other harmless. It's interesting that Jesus came to this wicked world not as the Lion but as the Lamb. He became easy prey to satan and to anyone, yet He was a Lamb that wasn't afraid. He represented a Lamb with a powerful Shepherd. Jesus was the only one to open this scroll because He became the perfect sacrifice with out any blemish. He did not sin. It's a great lesson for us since we are harmless to satan and his dark army. The good news is the evil force can not do anything to us unless our great Shepherd, God, allow it. If He does, it's all part of His wonderful holy plan. It's very comforting to konw we are protected by God. One day Jesus will come back to this world with us when it's completely conquered. He will show Himself as the majestic and powerful Lion. No one will harm Him then, because they will be struck with fear.

Revelation 4:1-2
"Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me with the sound of a mighty trumpet blast. The voice said, "come up here, and I will show you what must happen after these things." And instantly I was in the Spirit and I saw a throne in heaven and someone sitting on it!"
John is told by Jesus to come to Him so He can show future events. This was necessary for John and for us. At the time all these wonder vision were given to John, the Christians were greatly persecuted. Many were hunted down and were killed in various ways. Some were taken to the coliseum to be eaten by animals, all for the entertainment for the people. Some were made to be torches on the streets. All of these wicked acts were meant to tell the people there and the entire world a clear message to Christians, to potential Christians, and to God that they were in control. Jesus shows John these powerful strange future events centered on God and His people so we can all know with certainty that God is in control. John will see the glories in heaven and what it's happening there so he can understand who it impacts to people of the world. It's very humbling to see what we think is out of control is actually fully in control by God.

Revelation 3:15-16
"I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!"
When someone sends a message through an email or text and it's all in CAPS, it means it's very important. Most of the times, the receiver takes it as yelling. Here, Jesus is rebuking the church of Laodicea with many exclamation marks. He's saying to us that this is very important to Him and He is angry. This is the only church out of the seven that only has rebukes. He doesn't have anything good to say about this church. This church is also in the most wealthiest city and I'm sure it is the biggest. This church is "rich" but only in material things of this world. They have compromised so much with the world, their faith in God is weaken and now it's only lukewarm. It's interesting that you can take either a hot drink or a cold drink and over time the temperature of the room will over take these drinks and all will be room temperature. We are surrounded by all kinds of evil in this world, but one of the worst is to become indifferent. We can easily be like this church to have a heart of stone and not care about anyone or anything. That's a scary place to be in and Jesus is telling us in ALL CAPS, He hates it. Let's WAKE UP, Repent and Cry out to God. We need to see that we are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. We need to buy from Jesus - gold that is refined in fire, white garments for our nakedness, and ointment for our blindness. How do we buy from Jesus? We need to give our lives to Him fully so we He can save us. Then we are stay HOT by living daily according to the will of God. There's a picture of Jesus knocking on the door in vs. 20. Jesus said if we open the door, we will share a meal as friends. Many people have mistaken this image for a door to a heart that is not a believer. I believe this is for a believer that is lukewarm. It's up to that believer to open the door of their heart to Jesus to rekindle that relationship with Him. Jesus is patient and might have been knocking on that door for some time - maybe even years. One day, Jesus will no longer knock on that door. We might wonder where Jesus is and open that door to see but we will not find Him. By then, the rapture will have taken place and Jesus will be in heaven with all the true and faithful believers - those that were victorious. Don't wait anymore. Open that door and invite Jesus as your friend.

Revelation 3:12
"All who are victorious will become pillars in the Temple of my God, and they will never have to leave it. And I will write on them the name of my God, and they will be citizens in the city of my God—the new Jerusalem that comes down from heaven from my God. And I will also write on them my new name."
There are days when it's extremely difficult to be a Christian. It seems like everyone doesn't care about God and the things of God. Those times can be lonely but we must press on. I'm amazed at all the gifts we will receive as those who remain victorious. We will eat from the Tree of Life (Rev. 2:7), Jesus will give us a crown of Life (Rev. 2:10), we will not be hurt by the second death (Rev. 2:11), We will eat manna that is hidden in heaven (Rev. 2:17), we will get a white stone with our new name engraved on it (Rev. 2:17), we will have authority over nations (Rev. 2:26), we will receive the Morning Star that represents Jesus (Rev. 2:28), we will be clothed in white (Rev. 3:5), our names will remain in the Book of Life (Rev. 3:5), Jesus will declare belong to Him (Rev. 3:6), we will become Pillars in the temple of God (Rev. 3:12), God's Name will be written on us (Rev. 3:12), we will be citizens in the city of God (Rev. 3:12), and we will have a new name inscribed on us (Rev. 3:12). There's so many gifts we will received but the one that I'm most excited about is when Jesus will invite us to sit with Him on His throne (Rev. 3:21). We just have to continue to be faithful and God will help us to be victorious.

Revelation 3:2-3
"Now wake up! Strengthen what little remains, for even what is left is at the point of death. Your deeds are far from right in the sight of God. Go back to what you hear and believed at first; hold to it firmly and turn to me again. Unless you do, I will come upon you suddenly, as unexpected as a thief.""
All of us has a reputation. Some are good and some are bad. It's great to have a good reputation but not good if your not that person inside. The church of Sardis was in a wealthy city. It started on a mountain but out grew that and built a second city in the valley below. I could imagine this church being huge with lots of people. It was known as the church that was alive. Jesus tells them they are almost dead or in another words, plagued with sin. They were teaching the right truth, but somehow allowed sin to run rampant. The solution is found in vs. 3, to "Go back to what you hear and believed at first". They had to go back to the basics. I believe it's important for any church to review and study regularly the basic foundations of the church. It's re-tuning our lives to God so we are kept on the right track. That way we are progressing towards God. The rewards of those that becomes victorious found in verse 5 is being clothed in white (set apart for God and made pure), our names are kept in the book of life (all believers are registered in this book that belongs to God), and Jesus will tell God and the angels we belong to Him. It's time to re-tune our lives to God and return to the basics.
Revelation 2:18-29 - QT by KC
Revelation 2:26-28
"To all who are victorious who obey Me to the very end, I will give authority over all the nations. They will rule the nations with an iron rod and smash them like clay pots. They will have the same authority I receive from my Father and I will also give them the Morning Star!"
When I read the Narnia books and see when the kids are crowned kings and queens, I think how funny that in that strange world, these kids are made rulers. It doesn't bother the Narians. They celebrate the special day because a prophecy has been fulfilled. It later shows these kids as adults and they talk about the great prosperity of Narnia as they followed the way they were told by Aslan. All that was possible for these kids because Aslan, the creator of Narnia and also represents Jesus, anointed them as rulers. Seems only like a fairy tale, but when we read today passage, we see Jesus giving those who were faithful to Him until the end, authority to rule over all the nations. We can see where C.S. Lewis got the idea for his book. We can see that these children's book that he wrote were much more and deep in theology. Jesus will give them the same authority God gave to Him. We will rule with Jesus, even though we are not qualified. If there is any doubts, Jesus, who is the Morning Star, will confirm to other the seal of approval. The morning star is interesting in that at the darkest part of the day, this morning star will shine and chase away the darkness. Even though we will be like kids with little knowledge of ruling nations, but Jesus will show us how to make it prosperous. The last days will be very difficult, so let's keep our eyes straight on Jesus, not looking to the right or left.
Revelation 2:12-17 - QT by KC
Revelation 2:14-15
"And yet I have a few complaints against you. You tolerate some among you who are like Balaam, who showed Balak how to trip up the people of Israel. He taught them to worship idols by eating food offered to idols and by committing sexual sin. In the same way, you have some Nicolaitans among you - people who follow the same teaching and commit the same sins."
What is the danger of having a little sinful pleasure in your life? It may not even harm others because it is done in your private life. There can be greater consequences than you realize. I heard an interesting experiment. If you put a frog in hot water, it jumps out immediately, but if you gradually increase the temperature, the frog stays and dies. People like Balaam compromises to allow certain sins to stay in their lives even thought they professed to follow Jesus. For Balaam, it was money (Numbers 22-24) and that caused him to lead God's people astray (Numbers 31:16). The Nicolaitans, according to my study bible, "were believers who compromised their faith in order to enjoy some of the sinful practices." Nicolaitan is a Greek word, but when translated in Hebrew it means Balaamites. The danger of even allowing or tolerating of people like Balaam is the same as compromising our faith just to enjoy some sin. As time goes on, we will see the strong foundation of the church built on the sold rock of Jesus become compromised. It's like termites to a house. It may look good but inside it's falling apart.

Revelation 2:10
"Don't be afraid of what you are about to suffer. The Devil will throw some of you into prison and put you to the test. You will be persecuted for 'ten days.' Remain faithful even when facing death, and I will give you the crown of life."
Some times when anyone goes through suffering they look up to God with desperation and cry out, "Why are you dong this to me?" It might make the most sense to us to blame God since everyone knows about God but don't fully know what He does and why. The strange things is we don't even realize Satan is real and the one causing the suffering. I do want to make something clear. God does bring testing to His children for the sake of growing more in Christ. Christian comes from the Greek work "christianos" which mean little Christ. People in the past would mock followers of Jesus and call us little Christ (Acts 11:26). Now the word Christian means a dedicated follower of Jesus and we are proud to be call little Christ. God also wants us to become more and more like Jesus. God disciplines those He loves like a loving Father. The church of Smyna didn't get a letter of reprimand but of encouragement. God is telling them Satan will attach them, put them in prison, or even kill them, but it will only last for '10 days'. It's good to know there is an end to suffering. God is comforting them letting them know He is right there. It is also a reminder that Satan might take our physical bodies but never our spiritual bodies or in another word, our soul. That should give us great rest. We don't have to be afraid and one day God will place a crown of life on our heads and truly be recognized as little Christ.

Revelation 2:4-5
"But I have this complaint against you. You don't love me or each other as you did at first! Look how far you have fallen from your first love! Turn back to me again and work as you did at first. If you don't, I will come and remove your lamp stand from its place among the churches.”
I have read this verse many times and every time it brings me back to the first time I fell I love with God. This verse is a warning to never forget that first love. I was saved at Santa Monica Beach, CA at the age of 16. I don't have to go to that specific beach, but I do like going to a beach once a year. That's is one of the reasons our family goes to Southern California at least once a year. When we get there, I have to sometimes drag my family to the beach, but they come along knowing it's important to me. For me, when I see the beach and take in all that it offers, my mind is taken back to my first real encounter with God (if you're curious about how I got saved, just email me or let me tell you when we meet). My heart starts racing as I think of God's mercy and grace. It warms up when thinking about His Agape love for me. It awakens me to live as a Christian as if that first day I met Jesus is today. It's scary how God takes this so seriously to eventually "removing your lamp stand". This obviously displeases God so I have taken this verse seriously myself. More than all the things we can do for God, He wants a real genuine relationship with us.
Revelation 1:9-20 - QT by KC
Revelation 1:10-11
"It was the Lord's day, and I was worshiping in the Spirit. Suddenly, I heard a loud voice behind me, a voice that sounded like a trumpet blast. It said, "Write down what you see and send it to the seven churches: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamin, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”
Accepting Jesus into your life means Jesus is now your personal Lord and Savior. You now have a personal relationship with the King of Kings. If you take that relationship seriously as Jesus does for you, then your walk with God continues to grow everyday. John has given his life completely to follow Jesus. He understands the suffering that comes along as he partners with his Master. He considers these minor sufferings compared to what Jesus went through and ultimately dying for us. John is a prisoner by himself on a far off island, but instead of despair he stays committed to the regular schedule of daily spending time with God. He even keeps the day of worship on Sunday, even though it is only himself that is worshiping God. In a sense, he is at church for God all by himself and it doesn't bother him. He understands that church is not a building or even people, but it's about coming to God to worship Him. This is a great example of a mature committed Christian. He also knows that many times he is walking with God alone, but is comforted that God is always next to him. God is always enough for him. The way John worships is what we need to get to because he is worshiping in the Spirit (vs.10). I believe that means a higher worship where mind, body, and soul are all tuned perfectly to God. Then we see the fruit of this type of worship as Jesus Himself comes to speak to him. Are you excited to grow closer to God?
Revelation 1:1-8 - QT by KC
Revelation 1:1-2
"This is a revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him concerning the events that will happen soon. An angel was sent to God's servant John so that John could share the revelation with God's other servants. John faithfully reported the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ - everything he saw”vs.1-2
As there is a beginning, there is also an end. Genesis means beginning and we read in the book of Genesis how everything started. The book of Revelation is the last book and it talks about the future and how everything will happen. I don't want to say the end because as we read this mysterious book, we will read of a new beginning. John has written the gospel of John which tell about the story of Jesus. He wrote 1, 2, 3 John which he is the elder and spiritual father to the church. For both, he was comfortable writing because he knew about the subject. The book of Revelation on the other hand is way out of his comfort zone. He has no idea what he is writing on and has to full rely on God. He realizes that this book will have a profound impact on Christians and non-Christians as well. This book will serve as an incredible encouragement to those that are following God, but it will also be one of the strongest warning for others.
