Proverbs

Proverbs 1:20-22

"Wisdom crieth without: she uttereth her voice in the streets: she crieth in the chief place of the concourse in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, how long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? And the scorners delight in their scorning, and fool hate knowledge?"

Wisdom is something everyone needs and those that have it are successful in the eyes of God. Wisdom is pictured as a woman going everywhere including important places looking to give this gift of wisdom. It seems like she is having a hard time finding anyone to take her counsel. The majority, love simplicity and hate knowledge. They put down those who speak the truth in wisdom. This reminds me of the billions of people caught up in a lie about evolution. They can't and won't accept any other truth. They would rather believe in space aliens than in the intelligent designer who is God. They have made evolution their religion and their god. Unfortunately, that belief leads to a valueless life for themselves and their views on others. When people believe they came from a rock, to an ape, to a person, they don't have any remorse in killing. Wisdom on the other hand, tells us we are made in the image of God. I pray more people will accept the gift of wisdom.
