🍂September Salon Newsletter out now!🍂
From Marie Mattson, JUUT President:
Dear Team,
We are pleased to announce that open enrollment for our employee benefits will commence on Monday. Open Enrollment will be open from Monday, November 4 to Saturday, November 16. Benefit changes will be effective on January 1, 2025. During this period, you will have the opportunity to review and select your benefits for the upcoming year.
We have several celebrations this year. We listened to your feedback and prioritized some key changes. Here is the summary of our medical renewal:
We are returning to BlueCross BlueShield
We will be on their largest network, the Aware network
We are eliminating the small network option (Medica VPL, previously offered in Minnesota)
We are eliminating the highest deductible plans
We are offering three medical plans to all:
Our premier plan is modeled after the medical plan we had with BCBS in 2020 ($40 copay, $2500 deductible) – if you loved this plan, it is available to you again!
Our next level plan is modeled after the best plan we currently offer with Medica ($45 copay, $3500 deductible)
Our third plan is an HSA eligible plan for those who benefit from this model ($4500 deductible) – we encourage you to have a conversation with our benefits broker to learn more about the benefits and considerations for this plan
Our premiums are DECREASING
If you are currently enrolled in our $45 copay, $3500 deductible plan you are paying $413/month for it – with our BCBS renewal this is decreasing to $320/month – a $93 savings/month, $1,116 per year!
If you sign up for the improved plan ($40 copay, $2500 deductible) the premium is still less at $370 per month
If you are currently enrolled in your $4500 HSA plan you are paying $290 per month for it – with our BCBS renewal this is decreasing to $230/month – a $60 savings/month, $720 per year!
Please ensure you have registered for your new ADP Workforce Now account as this is the profile you will use to elect/waive your benefits options.

Dental Plan: Offered through BlueCross BlueShield.
Vision Plan: Offered through VSP.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA): Offered through HealthEquity.
Health Care Expenses: Only available to those that enroll in the $2500 or $3500 deductible plans
Limited FSA (dental and vision only): Available to those who select any of the three medical plans
Dependent Care FSA
Health Savings Account (HSA): Offered through HealthEquity. Only available to those that enroll in the $4500 deductible plan.
Benefits available to all employees:
Colonial Life Ancillary Benefits: Additional options, such as life, disability, hospital, and accident policies.
Please note that you can enroll in Colonial Life benefits at any time. These will not be present in the ADP Open Enrollment. Please follow the guidance in the Benefits Guide to enroll.
Important Changes:
Please note that we will no longer offer MetLife’s employer-paid life and long-term disability insurance, as well as their ancillary products. As you know we have had a long-standing relationship with Colonial Life. Going forward, we will be partnering exclusively with them.
If you currently have policies through MetLife, you have the option of keeping them and paying for them directly yourself. You will receive a letter in December with information on how to extend your current policy past December 31, 2024. If this pertains to you, I encourage you to contact MetLife directly (877-237-8701) before the benefits terminate to ensure there is no lapse in coverage.
