"Boba Fett? Boba Fett? Where?" - Han
Episode VI
THE GREAT SARLAAC PIT
Work continues on the new Death Star, and future of the galaxy appears increasingly bleak.
On Tatooine, Luke Skywalker is in the grip of Jabba the Hutt, along with Han Solo, Chewbacca and Princess Leia. Jabba takes his prisoners across the Tatooine dunes to the Great Pit of Carkoon, where he plans to feed them to the fearsome Sarlaac beast.
But even with back-up from Boba Fett, Jabba has severely underestimated the powers of a Jedi...
Playable Characters: Jabba's Palace Luke, Sarlaac Pit Han Solo, Lando Jabba's Palace, C-3PO, R2-D2, Slave Leia
Enemies: Skiff Guard, Gamorrean Guard, Boba Fett
True Jedi at 10,100: This one can actually be quite difficult due to the horrible design of the Sail Barge Pit. There are four blues nearby in this area, but I would recommend leaving them until you pass that area and are in the Interior, as you can return to that area safely using the lift in the middle.
Note: It's possible for your AI friends to get stuck underneath platforms that you raise on the Sail Barge Exterior. It's impossible to complete the stage if this happens to Luke, as he's required to complete the stage. Just a forewarning.
You'll quickly gain control of Luke, Han and Lando. Defeat the enemies here, and build the gun in the middle. Head to the left side, and flip the lever to extend a bridge to the other Skiff. Head over and you'll initiate a fight with Boba. Boba has 8 Hearts, so either build this gun here, or head over to the gun you built before. Hop in the gun and shoot Boba down. Note that Boba can destroy the gun with his missiles, in which case you simply will have to rebuild it. Once Boba is defeated, and sent into the Sarlaac Pit, some pieces will appear back on the other Skiff. Head back over and use the Force on two sets to make two platforms just off screen, then build the last set to get up. Hop up on the head of the Skiff, and use the Platforms that have just been made to reach the Sail Barge.
We've switched over to R2 and 3PO. This part of the stage is horrible, and is some of the worst level design you will ever come across in any game, let alone a LEGO game. Switch to R2 and head right. Hover across the gap here to find a Astromech Panel. Use it to activate a platform for 3PO to cross. Hover across the set switching platforms that move at complete random to find a button, press it to activate another platform. Head back to 3PO and hope the Platforms work in your favour so he can cross. Wait for this last platform to rise to cross, then use the Protocol Panel. If you can't reach the Astromech Panel on the right side, then you'll have to work your way around on the left side. Which is an absolute pain to navigate, with many switching platforms that don't work with the limited moveset you have.
We're back with Luke, Han and Lando. Use Luke to jump onto a platform here. This grey platform can be forced while Luke is standing on it, allowing access to the higher level. Jump across to find a platform sitting out, which can be used so Luke can Force out some more platforms. Cross here and use Han or Lando at the Grapple Point. Be careful here, as this is where Luke can get stuck, forcing a level restart. Continue forward and drop down to the platform below, use the lever so Luke can cross. Jump to the next platform and Force out another platform. Jump across and loop around. Switch to Han or Lando and use the Grapple Point. Flip the lever to raise the platform so Luke can cross. Use the next Grapple Point and drop down to the further platform. Use the lever to raise the platform again so Luke can cross. Force a platform here so you can cross. Force up two platforms above, then use the Grapple Point, cross the gap and flip the switch, raising an abundance of platforms. Platform up to find one final platform with a lever, flip it to release a platform. Jump up to continue.
We're back with 3PO and R2. Cross Jabba's homely interior to find Jabba, with Leia nearby. Approach Leia to add her to the party, also releasing the Force Field's on both sides. Head up the stairs and through the door.
On the roof, use Leia to slap the hell out of Boba, who for some reason isn't dead despite falling into the Sarlaac Pit earlier in the level. Once this is done, the level will end, thankfully.
Unlocked Characters: Sarlaac Pit Han Solo, Lando Jabba's Palace
