Green Deal

·         Andreas Beckmann, Regional CEO WWF Central and Eastern Europe

·         Karin Prauhart, Chairwoman, Green Party Hernals

Participants learn about current responses to climate change in the EU, Central Europe, and Austria. Topics include the EU Commission European Green Deal and relevant Central European, Austrian, as well as Viennese initiatives. The project seeks to answer these questions:

·      What is the European Green Deal?

·      To what extent can/do Central European, Austrian, and Viennese initiatives merge with those of the European Green Deal?

·      What is their potential contribution to the goals of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Paris Agreement?
