Chances are it used numbers to make you stop and think…
Cath will be looking at the data behind the news and how writers can use maths to make sensational headlines.
The maths in the session will be accessible to Year 9 and 10 students; some of the topics covered may be sensitive and for this reason the talk is suggested for Year 10 students.
Cath Moore is 11-16 Student Support Lead and GCSE PD Lead for the Advanced Mathematics Support Programme (AMSP).
