Irem of the Pillars
Often called "the Atlantis of the sands" by modern-day scholars, Irem was the capital of the Nameless Empire, one of the first human nations to arise in the Mythic Age. Located in what is now the Rub' al Khali in Saudi Arabia, during its height Irem was a garden city and the nexus of numerous ley lines that spread across the modern Middle East. It is said that in their waning days of the Mythic Age that Irem turned away from their historical gods and towards worship of the Outer Gods, which spelled doom not just for Irem but for all the nations of the Mythic Age.
