Storytelling and professional learning highlights the importance of developing critical thinking about the story and the need for emotional support for the learner using the digital stories to enable better engagement. Digital storytelling with vulnerable young people considers the potential for digital storytelling to improve self-worth and positive thinking for the storytellers as well as the need for making such improvements sustainable. Animation as a Medium emphasizes the impact of prisoner's voices in digital stories, the power of animation and the key themes needed in our CPD regarding healthcare challenges prisoners face. First do no harm identifies the need to carefully consider the ethical implications of digital storytelling in healthcare to respect and protect the storytellers, including the essential need for informed consent processes and practices which are equitable and understandable. The additional case studies highlight the need for improving healthcare practitioners awareness of the prisoner mind set and beliefs, the importance of developing positive therapeutic relationships with them and the potential for Digital storytelling to help reduce prejudice in the general public and amongst decision makers.
