He is a confident user of computers and his smartphone, he is developing good photography skills in his spare time.
His father is a hospital porter so he grew up with his stories of hospital life. Does not know much about caring for patients who are prisoners or the associated ethical and social issues.
Loves working with people and would like to eventually become a nurse.
Wants to understand the background and needs of patients he cares for to provide a professional, caring service, in response to patient stories and their health issues.
Dyslexia blighted his school years, eventual diagnosis in his primary years meant that some coping strategies helped him achieve his GCSEs but he still struggles with reading long passages of text. His mother is a teaching assistant in a primary school and was the first to spot his dyslexia.
Sense of humour. Friendly, compassionate and jovial underpinned by a serious, focussed determination to learn despite his dyslexia.
