Hello everyone, I’m Stiven, an indie game developer with several years of experience. I have a deep passion for mystery, survival, science fiction, and thriller novels and games. I love designing and developing suspenseful and dramatic stories where players find themselves immersed in an unknown world. I enjoy making players reflect on the adventure they're experiencing.
The idea came from my desire to create a game that blends a little bit of everything. A mix of survival, science fiction, mystery, and aliens—topics that aren’t commonly explored in modern games. I wanted to make players think about what would happen if beings from another world came to Earth. Would they be hostile or friendly? Would they want to take us to their world, or would they attempt to conquer ours? Would they seek cooperation and peace, or would they destroy all life on Earth? These are the kinds of questions we want to explore in the game, which will slowly reveal the true intentions of these beings.
The game started just a few months ago. It’s been a rewarding process working from home the whole time, designing the characters and story. We’ve found that very few games combine survival mechanics with an alien theme. We want to tackle these philosophical questions, but also make the player feel like they are in an unknown world—even though the game takes place in the protagonist’s hometown, where they grew up.
The game is developed using RPG Maker MV.
So far, the biggest challenge has been implementing some complex systems in gameplay, as the engine doesn’t have native support for certain mechanics. However, thanks to some paid plugins and our programming knowledge, we’ve managed to overcome these obstacles step by step. We are confident that, in the end, we’ll be able to implement everything we want, making the game one where players truly feel part of the world. An adventure that will leave them thinking for hours.
My best advice is not to get discouraged if you run into obstacles or have a small budget. Do it with passion and dedication, regardless of how little knowledge you have or how unknown your game might be. There are so many tools available today to help you develop your potential and your story. There’s no excuse not to dedicate time to something you’re passionate about. There will always be someone—whether it’s a colleague, a forum, or a YouTube video—that can help you overcome any obstacle. Be patient and never leave a project unfinished. The satisfaction comes when you complete it.
I’d just like to say that the world of video games is vast, and there are many competitors, even in niche genres. We want our game to reach an audience who loves games focused on exploration, resource management, and hostile enemies. If even a small group of players end up enjoying the adventure, our goal will be achieved. Thanks for everything.
