Hello there! I'm Oasis, I'm 26 years old, and I've been working on my indie horror game called Abaddon for the past 3 years!
Abaddon is a passion project of me and a friend of mine (Yoav) he is the main developer, I was always very much into video games and also Writing.
So 3 years ago we decided to collaborate and make our own horror game.
We wanted to make the game WE wanted to play,
And that is exactly what we are doing.
The past 3 years of development weren't easy to say the least, but they were SO SATISFYING.
Making the game thay YOU want to play is what its all about in my opinion.
And getting people's feedbacks has been nothing short of incredible.
We chose to develop the game on Unity - because Yoav, our main developer is an expert in it.
The biggest struggle came from something very unexpected, we were approached by a big publisher team, and decided to go with them,
We paused Marketing for 2 months, because they said they will take care of it when the time comes, and that we can focus on just making the game.
After a few days that we hadn't heard from them, we received a mail that they aren't going to continue working with us due to some lame excuse.
It was rough because we really thought it was going good with them and we were finalizing the contracts with them.
It was a big hit - but we got back up, stronger.
The most important thing - ENJOY THE PROCESS.
Just by starting to make a game you are doing what 99% of people with a game idea won't do
So be proud of yourself and enjoy that.
IT IS OK TO MAKE MISTAKES -
You'll learn A LOT from them.
And most important - Have fun.
