Homemade Model Magic Clay

Make Your Own Play-Dough, or Model Magic Clay, at Home!

We learned of this easy recipe on the Artful Parent and Messy Kids Blogs. 

It's so easy!

Follow these simple steps: 

Recipe: 

• 2 Cups Baking Soda  (1 box)

• 1 Cup Corn Starch

• 1 1/2 Cups Water

• Color (option to add a bit of tempura paint until desired color is reached)

• Scents (option to add a bit of natural oils to give your dough a scent)

Add color (and scent) to water.  Combine baking soda and cornstarch in a pot, then add water to the powdered mixture. Whisk together. Cook on medium heat, stirring/whisking occasionally, until the dough thickens and can form a ball.  Cool and knead.
