As schools everywhere shifted to Remote Learning last March, we wanted to provide suggested Maker opportunities for students and families to participate in from home. This website grew out of our desire to document, curate, and collate activities for all age levels in thematic maker challenges; to support families building out creative makerspace stations at home; to inspire educators everywhere who wish to grow their maker skillset and design creative, enriching, experiential class experiences; to share best practices around maker work and machines, and provide resources for the International Maker effort to Hack The Pandemic.
In the 2020-2021 School Year, our goals remain to provide new maker content for students learning at home, or students looking for enrichment, and to keep these activities accessible with home resources, in consideration of safety and level of attention that may need to be paid by a caretaker.
