In the UK (= United Kingdom) there are 4 countries: England (London is its capital), Wales (Cadiff is its capital), Scotland (Edinburgh is its capital) and Northern Ireland (Belfast is its capital). The capital city is London. The UK flag is called 'The Union Jack' and it is made of 3 crosses, the red cross of St George (England), the white cross of St Andrew (Scotland) and the red cross of St Patrick (Ireland).
