There are two forms of the present passive:
the present simple passive and
the present continuous passive
We form the present simple passive with the present simple form of the verb to be (am, is, are) and the past participle of the main verb:
Mrs Smith washes the dishes. ] The dishes are washed by Mrs Smith.

We form the present continuous passive with the present continuous form of the verb to be (am, is, are being) and the past participle of the main verb:
Mr Jones is reading a book. ] A book is being read by Mr Jones.
