Possessive adjectives (= присвојни придеви) show that somebody possesses (= owns) something, so they always go in front of a noun. They answer the question Whose?
Here are a few examples:
Those are my gloves. (= I own the gloves, they belong to me)
She's changed her shoes.
That is his book.
A happy dog wags its tail. (Beware: the possessive its is written without an apostrophe!)
Welcome to our house.
The children are in their room.
One's first duty is to one's family.
