Adverbs

Adverbs (= прилози) are very important. They say how (= како), when (= кад), where (= где) or how often (= колико често) something happens.

Adverbs describe verbs (He works hard) or modify adjectives (He is frequently busy).

We form most adverbs by adding -ly to the adjective (quick - quickly, happy - happily, careful - carefully), but some are irregular (hard, fast, well).

Adverbs are placed at the beginning or end of a sentence, or before a verb.
