We use the future simple for:

• on - the - spot decisions (The phone is ringing. I'll answer it.)

promises (I promise I won't tell your secret.)

threats (Stop it, or I'll punish you.)

predictions about the future, with the following words: hope, think, believe, imagine, probably, perhaps, and expressions I'm sure or I'm afraid (I think I'll pass the test.)
