Founded in 1020 RD, the Information Quartet (IQ) is the internal intelligence agency of the Magianan Empire, and a subsidiary of the Imperial Ministry of The Interior. At the behest of Duchess Katherine Ultire, the private spy network in service of her family was reorganized to be an arm of the government, responsible for and answerable to the public, rather than the interest of the family alone.
Like local police, the IQ is under the command of the government. It is similar in scale to Overseer, but unlike the other organization, its interests are primarily concerned with the empire, whereas Overseer serves the entire planet.
