The Nyrellan Hymn is a holy song in the official language of the Church, known as Nyrellan, also named after its chief goddess. It is said that the hymn is Nyrella singing to the mortals of Unios.
The Roma, while they do not worship Nyrella, say that their Creator was her lover and they parented a child together. The Roma belief is that this hymn is something Nyrella sang to her child, who rebelled against their parents and became humanity’s core source of temptation and sin.
The verses of the hymn do have Oslenite translations, though their original Nyrellan lyrics are in the Nyrellan solfège. No one is quite sure why, but the meaning behind each verse has been lost, so they’re little more than a pleasant sounding lullaby that people sing in the modern day.
The Nyrellan solfège: Am, ve, ur, ge, lu, ni, ma
Translated Oslenite
Surrounded by nothingness
The heart hides behind its earthen walls
Entrust yourself to the river's flow
Embrace the comforting warmth of my love
Let your soul fly unburdened and free
When all seems dark and hope far gone
Know that my light shines from within you
