I am currently reading my PhD at the Experimental Marine Ecology Lab at the National University of Singapore. My thesis aims to investigate the potential of vegetative seagrass fragments as dispersal agents. This will primarily be done using 3D-hydrodynamic model with parameters supported by experimental data. The model will be used to assess if the observed population genetic structure in Singapore can be explained by contemporary hydrodynamic processes.
I believe that scientists have a crucial role in ensuring environmental policies and laws are grounded in science. As such, I am interested in applying my scientific training to help develop and apply effective environmental policies at both a national and international level.
