I joined the Experimental Marine Ecology Lab (EMEL) in November 2018. My current research investigates reproductive strategies of mushroom corals along wide-ranging latitudes, The coral reefs of Singapore vs. Eilat (Red Sea). Prior to this, I did my PhD at the University of Ryukyus, Japan, with the research focused on reproductive and larval biology, and physiology of corals in mesophotic coral ecosystems (reefs below 30 m to over 150 m depth), particularly testing the Deep Reef Refuge Hypothesis whether mesophotic corals could act as larval source for shallow reef recovery. After PhD, I conducted research as a postdoc at IRD in New Caledonia where I focused on coral larval and juvenile responses to climate change.
