Having been always fascinated by ecology and filled with the heightened desire to be a part of the local marine research scene, I joined the Experimental Marine Ecology Lab as a Research Assistant shortly after completing my undergraduate studies in Life Sciences in NUS. I am currently pursuing a Masters in Environmental Management under NUS, as my time in EMEL made me want to delve further than marine ecology and into more multidisciplinary sustainability issues.
I am currently assisting in projects on various aspects of the ecological engineering of seawalls to enhance biodiversity, and recently completed a study on the effect of materials on biotic colonisation on seawalls.
