I have been passionate about conserving the marine environment since I was a child, when I was visited by the Greek god Poseidon one night in a dream. Since obtaining my BSc in Zoology from the University of Otago, I have worked as a research assistant on various projects to culture organisms such as giant clams and sea urchins, and to increase biodiversity on Singapore's seawalls. I also spread my love for the ocean through my work with Our Singapore Reefs, a group that aims to protect local coral reefs from marine trash through education, awareness and action. Aside from being a enthusiastic marine conservationist, I am also a keen ultra-marathoner and expert taxidermist.
