I have been interested in wildlife protection and conservation for as long as I can remember! I spent my Honours studying the functional responses of native and non-native Macrobrachium prawns in Singapore, under the environmental conditions (i.e., temperature and pH) of natural and artificial habitats. It was then that I became interested in the study of anthropogenic effects on the environment.
I am currently involved in projects concerning the ecological engineering of Singapore’s seawalls, particularly in the manipulation of concrete tiles to support greater biodiversity. I hope to continue studying the impacts of urbanisation on aquatic wildlife and habitats, and to find solutions for their conservation.
