I’ve always been interested in marine life, but it was during my first year in university, when I became a SCUBA diver, that my foray into marine biology began. What started off as a hobby led to a final year project in EMEL, investigating the effects of macroalgal density and predation risk on fish herbivory rates.
My pursuit of marine biology continues as a research assistant on the MSRDP project (Adaptation and resilience of coral reefs to environmental change in Singapore). In addition to helping the various subprojects, I intend to start my research on other aspects of fish herbivory and on macroalgae.
