Dr. Woo was a professor of Education at the University of Hong Kong, specializing in educational technology and digital literacy. He joined the UHK in 2015. He earned his doctorate from the University of Hong Kong in 2018, a master's degree from the University of Cambridge, and a master's of education from the University of Hong Kong.
His research examines the leadership roles of pedagogical technologists, ICT coordinators, and educational technology leaders. Additionally, his research highlighted the impact of AI on ESL language education, specifically secondary students' use of ChatGPT and the role of AI in their creative writing. He founded the annual Human-AI Creative Writing Contest for Hong Kong Secondary Schools to improve students' and educators' understanding of using ChatGPT for academic English writing.
