Paul Taylor

Paul Taylor is an artist from Riverton, Utah, who works across digital and graphite drawing. His works often depict natural and artificial environments to explore the relationship between place and self. In this work, Paul used graphite and digital manipulation to express the subjectivity of beauty as it relates to nature. Gallery frames are strewn seemingly at random through a forest, engaging the viewer to question the relation between aesthetics and nature. By exploring these ideas through a GIF, the concept of “blurring” emphasizes the distortions that our subjective perspectives have on nature. Paul is currently a student at Utah Valley University studying graphic design and will graduate fall 2023. He hopes to continue exploring drawing and graphic design.
