Aysia Dailey

Aysia Dailey is an artist from Utah who works across graphite, colored pencil, watercolor, digital media and more. Her work uses visual imagery and simple lines to study the joy and fondness of becoming a mother. In this work, Aysia used drawing through digital media to express the happiness found in the incredible feeling of your baby kicking and moving inside its mother. By exploring these ideas through a GIF, the work becomes viewed through as something simple yet powerful. Fetal movement is often something that is short and sweet, so using a brief GIF helps to capture one of these simple and sweet events. Aysia is currently a student at Utah Valley University studying Art Education who plans to graduate in a couple of years after returning from a short break of maternity leave in the spring. After she graduates, Aysia hopes to continue to study art and eventually help students of her own to develop a love of art through teaching.
