MD2D Check

These very useful tools from Will G and Brent S will compare what you own at FAH/Vudu to their D2D catalog so you can see which discs you need to purchase in the future. This will automatically update with new D2D additions.

You first need to install the Vudu Catalog tool in Chrome/Edge (Android option: https://www.makeuseof.com/chrome-extensions-android-mobile/ )

For this comparison you will need to turn purchase dates off on the Vudu Catalog Extension. Go to chrome://extensions/?options=bnlpiockcfehbfbdcegahemgmjfkdopc and unclick include purchase dates

Next go to https://www.vudu.com/content/movies/mymovies while signed in and run the extension (click it). If you have a large library and this is your first time running it, it may take awhile.

Save the CSV file somewhere you can find it on your computer

Next click on this link  https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bong0KXCkZPIt_IWbNfXWQe8gSzeMudUKNqwXY5imfE/copy it will open up a copy of the compare file. This is yours to edit

Go to the tab in sheet titled Vudu Catalog - Import in Cell C1 (you will have to scroll over to the right)

Click on Cell C1

Make sure your cursor is in cell C1

Go to File

Click on Import

Upload

Find your most recent file from the vudu catalog of your movies

Change the import location to "Replace data at selected cell"

Unclick "Convert text to numbers, dates and formulas"

Click Import Data

Wait for it to load (this may take a few minutes, it may take longer depending on your library size)

Go back to the first sheet in the file titled MD2D. Filter as you'd like. Change the Status to FALSE to see the D2D titles you do not own.

Wishlist Option (Optional, you don't have to do this to make it work unless you want to)

If you'd like to see what is D2D on your wishlist, run the Vudu Catalog on https://www.vudu.com/content/movies/mywishlist Then go to the Wishlist tab on the sheet, go to Cell A1 and import using the same settings as before. If you have the movie on your wishlist, it will appear under Status. You can filter and sort that way. Note when you replace your wishlist you probably want to go to that tab, hit Ctrl+A (For a PC), delete and then reimport.

Genre search was added 11/10/2022. You will need to make a new sheet after that date to get the genre search

FAQ on Personalized Sheets

No, it will automatically update. You can just open it when you want to look at it. You do not have to run a new report.

As soon as FAH/Vudu updates anything on D2D. This is the only accurate sheet out there.

No, if you want it to take away the movies you have bought you will need to run a report and import the updated CSV as before. After you run it the first time, the rest run much faster. Or you can just manually add the FAH/Vudu ID and quality of the movie you bought into the FAH/Vudu movies, etc tab. Or you can just leave it as is and skip over the ones you know you purchased.

You probably don’t have it in there as text. Make sure you are pasting as a value and not formula if you are copying and pasting.

Just start over and make a new one, it takes about 5 min and is probably easier than figuring out what you did.

If FAH/Vudu has a movie in a lower quality and another provider has it in a higher quality that movie will continue to show up because the data is from your Vudu collection. You can manually change the quality on your owned tab if it bugs you.

Because that is against FAH/Vudu’s Terms of Service and we like our FAH/Vudu accounts.

Sorry, it pulls from another sheet so you can’t. You can copy and paste into a totally different sheet if you really want to do something else with it but it won’t update in that one.

Please bug me. I genuinely want to help you use this fantastic tool and save time each day scouring all over for sales.

Yes, once it’s created you can open it on any device. To set it up the first time and run a csv on an android device follow the directions here: https://www.makeuseof.com/chrome-extensions-android-mobile/ and then send me a chat to help set up your sheet.
