In benchmarking, we will define the general specification of our car such as its acceleration rate. We do this by first setting a target. This is the achievement that we aim to win with this car, then we will set our design spec, which is the minimum performance level the car must have which can be derived from our target or derived from the regulations. The last part is setting the engineering specs which we will use to design and fill out the detail on the car, the engineering specification is calculated from the design specs.
Every aspect of our car is designed in the context of Formula Student Germany (FSG). Every data and ruleset came from the official FSG website.
This is a map showing every design spec and engineering spec that we considered for benchmarking
Note: In Benchmarking, Steering and Brakes from Driver Interface & Control system are combined to Suspension System and considered as Suspension/Steering/Brakes system.
