Before you can use the stand-alone desktop version for the first time, you will need to authenticate your single sign on from within D2L as follows:

1. Log into D2L

2. Go into a course

3. Go into a content module

4. Click on blue New button and down arrow select Create a File

5. Click on insert stuff icon, located to the left of the chain icon

6. Click on Panopto Embed Button

7. You will now see the embedded recording tool

Once you record you the file will automatically caption and upload, you will need the set the share option (refer to doc),  you can also edit folder location, title, and you also have the ability to copy the link or use the embedded option if you record within D2L.
