NFT(나도 참여해 왼쪽의 헬멧 그림을 3333점 발표했음)도 마찬가지다.

This exhibition arranges previously presented works in a chronological order, making it easier to understand the changes that have taken place up to the present. The timeline begins at both the left and right ends and converges toward the center (the present). Broadly speaking, the works can be divided into two categories: the three-dimensional paintings on the left and the two-dimensional paintings on the right. I believe that this distinction in style and the resulting changes are a survival instinct, as well as the margin for the next phase of change. After all, “style” eventually tends to solidify around a central point. Perhaps the theme here is to keep creating for the long haul and to avoid being consumed by stereotypes. Recently, all anyone ever talks about is "IP," but Gian from Doraemon has certainly become quite well-behaved.
On the left. My exhibition began with printing digital artwork onto canvas or paper. Works ① and ② were printed for the first time specifically for this exhibition. These prints were commonly seen during the “mini art boom” brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, a period when many underground artists emerged onto the scene. These artists—myself included—used social media as a platform to showcase their work and create digitally. Consequently, until NFTs for digital data became popular, the only way to sell their work was through physical prints. However, no matter how many editions are assigned, these can be mass-produced and are therefore not unique works. The same goes for NFTs (I also participated by releasing 3,333 copies of the helmet drawing on the left); while they became a trend, the experience of ownership was ultimately lacking. These works rapidly lose their value.
In my solo exhibition “Enlightenment for easy printing” at the end of 2021, where I exhibited piece ③, I rejected the idea of carelessly produced prints. I presented works such as a silkscreen print—which is typically mass-produced—of which I printed only a single copy; ukiyo-e woodblock prints, which involve significant human intervention; and piece ③, created by tearing apart three prints and piecing them together. Since then, I have made almost all of my works unique and limited editions.
Right. This piece features a comic-style touch centered on lines. As with the piece on the left, I experimented with various printing techniques in the early days to avoid the cold, impersonal feel of mass-produced prints. These included silkscreen, risograph, ukiyo-e woodblock prints, and prints using gold and silver leaf. I tried to increase their value by drastically limiting the print run or creating one-of-a-kind pieces, but there were limits to this approach. Eventually, I will transform all of these “flat” works into hand-drawn, one-of-a-kind pieces as well. Even so, I’ve begun to feel that these flat paintings themselves aren’t all that different from prints. While print-like paintings are, after all, unique, they evoke associations with mass-produced, off-the-shelf products that exclude any sense of humanity. This raises the question: Is “factory art” really art? I became conscious of the fact that I am not that—I am a painter.
Center. The collage and montage works in ④. A work in progress. The themes are questions of perception and time. If I were to limit this to a single figure, wouldn’t it resemble Cubism with its multifaceted perspectives? The incorporation of comic-style expression in ⑤. If I take this too far, Hitchcock might mock it as a “talking picture.”

NFT(私も参画し左のヘルメットの絵を3333体発表した)もしかり、結局のところ流行りはしたが所有する事の体験が乏しかった。
