MARICELA GONZALEZ

Marisela González is a harpist whose versatility ranges from teaching to playing, to recording, to researching and organizing didactical, national and international harp events. Price winner in Israel and Venezuela, as a result of her close relation with composers, Marisela has given several compositional workshops, she has premiered and recorded many new works and traditional Venezuelan music for de pedal harp, besides publishing a book on the Latin.American harp repertoire. She has played abroad with several orchestras as a soloist and held the position of principal harp of the Venezuela Symphony Orchestra from 1987 to 2002. Jury of National and Internationational competitions, she has participated in several World Harp Congresses and Latinamerican Festivals in Colombia, México, Brasil and Venezuela Marisela teaches at the School of Music Mozarteum Caracas and in the Master degree of the University Simón Bolívar and has been invited to tech Master classes at the Paris Conservatoire (CNMP), in several festivals in Brasil, Colombia and México.
