As of January 6, 2021, it is no longer possible to create a new revision or reflection assignment.
Similar functionality can still be retained by replicating it using a standard assignment.

The simple fix for this problem is to make sure there is not an "until" date in the Canvas assignment settings. Instructors cannot use Canvas "until" dates with an LTI assignment. Locking the assignment this way effectively blocks further access to the Turnitin interface within Canvas. If the instructor wants to prevent students from submitting after the due date, they would instead go into the Turnitin "optional" settings and make sure "Allow late submissions" is unchecked.

There are two ways to add a Turnitin assignment into Canvas:
A: Using the Framework method: Watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BLXmIexoG0
This what was covered in the CAN1003 training
B: Using the LTI External Tool method: Instructions:

https://help.turnitin.com/feedback-studio/canvas/lti13/student/student-category.htm
https://help.turnitin.com/feedback-studio/canvas/lti13/student/student-category.htm (students)
The big difference is that with option A you can use the Speedgrader and Rubrics features.
In option B you can use the GradeMark feature
Notes: You can’t use the speedgrader in option B

You can use the Quick Submit feature in Turnitin to submit papers on behalf of students.
What is Quick Submit?
The quick submit feature allows instructors to submit papers and receive Originality Reports without creating a class or an assignment. This is ideal for instructors who would like to use Turnitin to spot-check submissions and have these papers in electronic format. Additionally, faculty can utilize this feature to submit discussion posts, assignments, essay quiz questions, and more.
