What are the proctoring options in Class?

Proctoring within Class is done within the application itself; it's one of the built-in features. It's limited to the professor seeing the faces/computer desktops. Class is looking to partner with a professional proctoring service, but the built-in proctoring may be useful for low-stakes assessments.

When we use proctor view, what is the maximum number of student displays we can see? ?

3 per screen.

Can Respondus Lockdown Browser be used?

If you plan to use Class.com as a video conferencing tool, it can be used with the Instructor Live Proctoring option, provided the test is set up in Canvas. The instructor would select “Other” in the dropdown menu in the Instructor Live Proctoring option.

But if you plan to use the assessment features (push the exam or quiz) within Class.com, that would not be supported with LockDown Browser. LockDown Browser only integrates with the tests in Canvas.

This would be done through LockDown Browser (in Canvas.) To enable LDB in your course, click on Settings within your course nav. bar. Next, find the the "Navigation" tab and look for LockDown Browser. Click on the ellipsis (three vertical dots) and select "+ Enable." Hit Save

Once enabled, you should see your Canvas course exams within LDB. Once you locate your assessment, click on the dropdown arrow and select Settings, look for Proctoring and select "Allow instructor live proctoring for this exam (Zoom, Teams, etc.) Set "Select your video conferencing system" to Other.

You can then use Class to monitor (proctor) the students as they take the exam using LDB within Canvas.
