Dash Masamaru

Personality

Friends are everything to Dash. He is protective of his friends and will sacrifice anything to help them. Due to the importance of friends for Dash, he is very loyal, the loyalty almost enough to get him through any type of torture without revealing any information on his friends. 

He is very good at sensing people's emotions and will try to do his friends a favor by explaining his friend's emotions to someone if his friend is tongue-tied or too shy to admit their emotions. Similarly, he can usually decipher people using body language and tone to discover what they are thinking.

Dash is particularly chill about most things in life, and it is very difficult to anger him. Even under disadvantageous situations, he is unfazed. 

General History

Dash wasn't born in good circumstances. A few years after his birth, his father and mother became alcoholics, and their parenting became worse and worse by each passing year. They also conceived of another child named Kenta during these years, and Dash would grow to adore him as a younger brother. 

At the age of 12, Dash ran away with Kenta to escape the situation at home. It was fortunate of him to be accepted into a relaxed and friendly gang that in return for his help, gave him a place to live and take care of Kenta. A few years later, and Dash's memory of his parents would be long faded. 

Dash's performance in school was subpar without any motivation and with his part-time job in the gang. But he was independent and himself. 

Abilities and Powers

Serenity Insomniac: Dash has an uncanny way of almost reading someone's mind. If someone is actively preventing him from being able to read someone's mind, he will know the basic nature of this, such as if the person is trying to keep a secret, wants to maintain privacy, or if it's a friendly surprise. 

Sunlight Euphoria: Dash is well versed with street fighting and has created a name for himself with his unique self-defense focused martial arts mastery. He is able to infuse his strikes with burning sunlight or use sunlight as a shield of sorts. Additionally, he gains very strong spacial awareness when in a naturally lit bright area.

Miscellaneous Trivia

• Influences: Go Tanoshimu (bittersweet and calm vibes), human vampires (originally came from Vladius, but parts of it also stem from Kaisa Vey and the rest of the vampire group), Azazel Griffiths (instant ramen and beef broth in a large coffee mug), Sasaki to Miyano (badboy trope)

• Dash has one earring and two studs on each of his ears. 

• Dash likes eating instant ramen out of a mug

• He suffers from insomnia and can't go without a cup of fresh coffee
