Тактика

Mutual Defense

A tactic that has been around for quite some time. If everything goes well, you might be able to finish the game in one season. As the name suggests, juxtaposing two Generals in the tam2 hue allows the perfect protection of 12 squares surrounding the Generals, as well as the two Generals themselves.

Since this is an old tactic, there are many countermeasures. Hence it is somewhat difficult to use this as an opening move, though it is very powerful if completed mid-game. The weak point is that it is easy to take the piece on the opposite side from the Generals.

Swift Shaman

Originally developed to prevent the use of Mutual Defense as an opening move, this tactic is an effective countermeasure to various tactics due to the small number of moves required. For instance, in the diagram on the left, the King has no safe squares. Can be used in conjunction with the Aiming Archer.

It is very versatile and is a highly effective attack, but one weakness is that this fails when the opponent moves the tam2 away. Also, be careful not to let the opponent take your Horse after you send an Archer to the center column.

General-Tam2-General

It is a tactic that aims to take the king with as few moves as possible while being safe. Notably, the King is relatively well defended.

Countermeasures include bringing the Tam2 away, evacuating the King or placing a piece in front of the King, each of which costs a precious move and delays the opening.

Not compatible with the Swift Shaman, since Tam2 is required for both tactics. Also note that the King is at risk the moment Tam2 goes away, and that (unlike the Mutual Defense) the Generals themselves are vulnerable.

Aiming Archer

The best thing about this tactic is its speed. As long as you cast the sticks and don't get zero, this formation is completed by a single move (LAU Archer LAI LY) from the start of the game. It allows you to play powerfully.

For example, if your opponent tries to move an Archer in LE to the side in this situation, you can take a Horse (provided you roll two or more), which is advantageous because Horses are involved in many of the hands (the Cavalry, the Attack and the Animals). Hence the Aiming Archer prevents the opponent from moving the Archer sideways, hindering strong formations such as Swift Shaman. Also, NAI Pawn NAU followed by KAU Shaman NAU NAI places a Shaman on the tam2 hue, creating a formation analogous to the Swift Shaman. It is truly a fast, aggressive opening.

Shield and Arrow

Developed as a countermeasure to the Aiming Archer. The Aiming Archer is distinctive in that, when the Shaman is brought to the tam2 hue, the King or the Cavalry can be simultaneously aimed; the best thing about the Shield and Arrow is that you can prevent this from happening.

Not many effective countermeasures have been found, but countermeasures include blocking the Archer with the Tam2 or taking the Archer with an Archer to aim for the Cavalry.
