• The station was closed due to World War II damage between 25 April 1945 and 24 September 1946.

• Due to lack of staff the station was closed between 22 December 1969 and 6 April 1970.

• Service finally discontinued on 1 January 1972. Stores were opened in september 1973. A museum street car (tram) drove between Nollendorfplatz and Bülowstaße on the former U-Bahn tracks during the period 1978 - 1991. The U2 service was was resumed on 17 July 1993.
