Tranfer to U-Bahn
The station was closed due to World War II damage between April 1945 and June 1945. The station was closed due to building activities from 1972 until 1979.
The DR (the East German Railway) still operated the S-Bahn in West Berlin. The construction of the Berlin Wall led to West Berlin calling for the unions and politicians to boycott the S-Bahn. Subsequently, passenger numbers fell and the DR had large deficits in the exploitation of the S-Bahn in West Berlin. After strikes for better working conditions and a pay raise; the DR services were reduced and station Beusselstraße was closed on 18 September 1980. After the reunification of Germany, the S Bahn was reactivated and the station was reopenend on 17 December 1993.
