Tranfer to U-Bahn
The station was closed due to World War II damage between April 1945 and 9 September 1945.
The DR (the East German Railway) still operated the S-Bahn in West Berlin. The construction of the Berlin Wall led to West Berlin calling for the unions and politicians to boycott the S-Bahn. Subsequently, passenger numbers fell and the DR had large deficits in the exploitation of the S-Bahn in West Berlin. After strikes for better working conditions and a pay raise; the DR services were reduced and station Beusselstraße was closed on 18 September 1980. After the reunification of Germany, the S Bahn was reactivated and the station was reopenend on 17 December 1993.
